Bujingi Hare...Light is good, Beast is well supported and good also, 1700 attack on a Level 3 is quite good, although 500 defense is not so good.  Aside from being a decent enough attacker, if only for its Level, this card isn't as great as it seems, at least to me.  It can remove itself from play, from the Graveyard (during either players' turn however) to target a Beast-type, Bujin Monster you control from being destroyed by Battle and/or Card Effects for the current turn.  It's still a -1 and it does actually offer worthwhile protection to your card, whatever it is...but if you need to go through all that just to protect that one card, it's probably not going to help that much anyway.

Happy Thursday everyone.  Hope you're all having fun with the crazy weather this week.  Anyway, we continue to move through LVAL with today's card, Bujingi Hare.

If you've played with/against the Bujin deck, you know what Bujigni Turtle is.  It's a mandatory card in the deck, allowing you to remove it from the grave to negate a card that would target your precious Beast-Warriors, particularly Yamato.  This keeps him safe from Dimensional Prison, Forbidden quick-play spells, Fiendish Chain, Breakthrough Skill, anything you can imagine.  But how many times have you gone to swing over some low-stat nobody, only to get blown to kingdom come by Mirror Force, or have your opponent use Garunix on you during the standby phase?

Well now that problem is over.  Bujingi Hare fills the gap that Turtle cannot, allowing you to remove it from the grave to prevent the destruction of a Beast-Warrior Bujin monster, regardless of how it's going to happen.  Better yet, you don't have to wait on it to happen, so if you're in your main phase 1 and you're scared your opponent is going to use a Kalut against you and you don't have a Crane, go right ahead and give yourself the insurance plan.  This also allows you to set up easily for Bujincarnation, one of the most broken revival cards in the game.

Hare gives you the longevity you need to properly set up your hand and grave to start making your bigger plays.  He should be the first thing you dump with Yamato's effect, even before Turtle.  This becomes even more important in Primal Origin, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.  For now, if you're playing Bujins, you're going to have to embrace the future and play this card.  Don't replace your Turtles with this; you should keep an even ratio of the two, as far as my opinion is concerned.

Traditional: 1/5, Bujins are way too slow for this
Advanced: 4/5, amazing support card
Art: 4/5

Bujingi Hare

In its deck it is a pretty cool tech card & outside of that deck it has no real purpose. Thus I'm rating it for the appropriate theme deck. It has decent attack & its effect is nice. They're lots of ways to get rid of monsters without destroying them but this bad bunny sitting in the graveyard will force an opponent to work around the altered game state.

3/5

Bujingi Hare

Capable, but unimpressive stats compounded by no on-field effect or immediate graveyard advantage make this a card you would not want to waste a Normal Summon on. Thankfully, you have options to discard it, like Bujin Yamato (which saves this card from it's biggest weakness). Protecting a monster is not a remarkable effect if you are using it on a level-4 creature, but being able to protect one of your bigger XYZ/Synchro monsters, especially as you're trying to make a game-breaking play can be a big deal.

Traditional: 2/5 – more ways to dump it, but Bujins as a whole are weak in this format

Advanced: 4/5

Chillin' out with the crew in the school yard. Findin' trouble, never lookin' too hard. Well back at class, they never taught us this. Some things you gotta learn, hit or miss. Tough times, hard climbs, we'll take 'em on together. Right now, let's go! Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Generation neXt! Game on, get your game on.

......

Now you may be wondering why I did that... why would I not do it? It's a pretty catchy song!

Okay, okay. Popular theory is the Bujins are the GX main characters. Bujin Yamato is Jaden/Judai Yuki, because Red, Bujin Arasuda is Bastion/Daisuke Misawa because Yellow and Bujin Mikazuchi is Chazz Princeton/Jun Manjoume because Blue.

But enough of that. Let's get to the actual card, Bujingi Hare. This neat little card stops your monster from being destroyed by card effect or battle for the duration of a turn. Now I know you may be thinking that this card replaces Bujingi Turtle, but that's the wrong way to look at it. No, unlike the story where the Hare and Turtle hate each other, think of this card as Turtle's partner in crime. With both of them working in tandem, your Bujins won't die, and the main objective of the Bujin deck is to keep the Beast-Warriors on the field. So yes, you wanna be running maybe 2 or 3 of this little guy.

Ways to counter Bujingi Hare: it's not the Hare you should be worrying about.

Traditional: 1.5/5
Advanced: 3.5/5
