This is a new Field Spell support card released in
Primal Origins. Its first effect is to provide a
small ATK and DEF boost of 200 to all "Scrap"
monsters on the Field, keep in mind not just yours
but ALL "Scrap" monsters.
Now to the important part of this card, "When a
face-up "Scrap" monster(s) on the field is destroyed
by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard (except
during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon 1
"Scrap" monster from your Deck."
This card allows you to perform some quite
interesting combo's, first that comes to mind is
Scrap Dragon, "Pop" one of your own Scrap monsters,
Destroy an opponents card and then replace that
monster with another Scrap monster from your Deck
for an easy +1.
Certainly this card also gives some use to Scrap
Shark as its effect to destroy itself is incredibly
easy to activate, and then this serves to be able to
be used as a pseudo Foolish Burial as well as being
able to be replaced another Scrap monster. This
actually provides you with an opportunity to Summon
either Scrap Dragon or Scrap Twin Dragon during this
same turn. Basically you send either Scrap Goblin OR
Scrap Beast to your Graveyard (both are Tuners) and
then Special Summon to your side of the field Scrap
Golem. Scrap Shark + Scrap Factory is quite a potent
combo, and gives use to a card that I'd otherwise
consider one that should stay in your tins.
And the final good/ easy combo is to use Scrap
Orthos, this requires you to destroy another Scrap
monster (you control) when you Special Summon it,
obviously you don't simply have to choose itself as
a target, you can always choose another Scrap
monster to utilise its "If this card is destroyed by
the effect of a Scrap monster" effect to gain
additional advantages.
You could also use this card to good advantage in a
mirror match also as if your opponents Scrap monster
was "Unfortunate" enough to die, you would be able
to use Scrap Factory's effect which could
potentially become quite handy.
Finally, being a Field Spell card its searchable via
Terraforming, as well as several other cards, but I
would be considering only Terraforming as the
relevant card in this instance.
I don't know how ultimately useful Scrap Factory
will be in increasing the competitiveness of Scraps,
but as I see it its certainly a step in the right
direction and provides a much needed boost for the
Deck.
And of course the longer you can manage to actually
keep this card on the Field, the more potential
advantage that you could be generating, and keeping
it for more than even 1 turn makes it worthwhile.
Traditional:
1.5 (Sorry, but Trad is ruled by
everything broken, this has no place here).
Advanced: 3.75 (Provides great advantage, searchable
and allows for some real potential).
