Orea, the Sylvan High Arbiter
- #PRIO-EN050 2 Level 7 monsters
Once per turn: You can send 1 Plant-Type monster from your hand or face-up from your side of the field to the Graveyard; look at a number of cards from the top of your Deck, equal to the Level of the sent monster had in the hand or on the field, then place them on the top of the Deck in any order. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; choose a number from 1 to 3, then excavate that many cards from the top of your Deck, send any excavated Plant-Type monsters to the Graveyard, and if you do, return up to that many cards from the field to the hand (min. 1), except this card. Also, place the other cards on the bottom of your Deck in any order.

Today we look at a Beastly Sylvan Monster, in
Orea, the Sylvan High Arbiter. First off, the cool
thing about Orea is that even though it has Sylvan
in it's name, it works very well in a non-Sylvan
based Plant Deck also. This is a Rank 7 XYZ Monster,
of the Plant type, Dark attribute (a bit odd for a
Plant) with a very nice 2800 attack and 2500
defense. Orea is XYZ Summoned with two Level 7
Monsters. Now, first off, once a turn, you can send
a Plant Monster from your Hand, or face-up from your
side of the Field to the Graveyard. Then, you get to
pick up cards from your Deck (equal to the Level of
the Monster used for this effect) and place them in
any order you wish. That's simply beautiful. Plants,
Sylvans especially, work very well with Plants in
the Graveyard, and placing cards in the order you
want on your Deck is just as nice. Secondly, by
detaching an XYZ Material from this card, you can
excavate your choice of 1-3 cards from the top of
your Deck, and any excavated Plants are sent to your
Graveyard. Still quite useful, as stated above.
However, you must also return cards from your Field
to your Hand equal to the number of Plants sent to
the Graveyard via this effect. The remaining cards,
if any, go to the bottom of your Deck in the order
you choose. You can turn both of these effects to
advantage in your favor, quickly. Very good Monster
for Plants

Orea, the Sylvan High Arbiter
DARK/Plant/Xyz/Effect/ Rank 7/2800/2500
2 Level 7 monsters
Once per turn: You can send 1 Plant-Type monster
from your hand or face-up from your side of the
field to the Graveyard; look at a number of cards
from the top of your Deck, equal to the Level of the
sent monster had in the hand or on the field, then
place them on the top of the Deck in any order. Once
per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this
card; choose a number from 1 to 3, then excavate
that many cards from the top of your Deck, send any
excavated Plant-Type monsters to the Graveyard, and
if you do, return up to that many cards from the
field to the hand (min. 1), except this card. Also,
place the other cards on the bottom of your Deck in
any order.
Next up we have a new Slyvan Xyz monster Orea,
the Sylvan High Arbiter. Statwise it is a generic 2
material Rank 7 DARK/Plant which is a strange
combination with 2800 ATK and 2500 DEF both a very
good for a Rank 7.
Effectwise, it has a couple which like the best
monsters one effect helps the next. First off by
sending a Plant from your hand or field to the
graveyard you can look and arrange the top cards of
your deck equal to the level of the sent Plant.
While it does cost you a monster, being able to
tailor what cards you will draw or excavate is very
important especially in a Sylvan deck.
The second effect allows you to declare a number
between 1 and 3 and excavate that many cards and
then send any Plants to the grave and return up to
the number of sent Plants back to the owner’s hand
and the rest go to the bottom of your deck. All that
for 1 Xyz Material. So not only do you get to choose
how many cards to excavate, but you then get to send
cards back to the owner’s hand and you get the
effects of any Sylvan monsters that were sent. That
is a lot for 1 Xyz material and the only downside is
you might and I stress the word might; be forced to
return 1 of your own cards, but with the right
planning that will probably never happen.
Of course so far Slyvans have only 1 level 7
monster, Sylvan Sagequoia, but he has a way of
special summoning himself and since this card is
generic you can use other level 7 monsters to help
get this guy out.
Overall a very powerful addition to Slyvans, if
you play them you might want to invest in some level
7 monsters.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Today we are reviewing Orea, the Sylvan High
Arbiter. A Rank 7, Dark, Plant-Type with
2800ATK/2500DEF. Taking two Level 7's, there are
several effects attached to Orea. First, once per
turn: You can send 1 Plant-Type monster from your
hand or face-up from your side of the field to the
Graveyard; look at a number of cards from the top of
your Deck, equal to the Level of the sent monster
had in the hand or on the field, then place them on
the top of the Deck in any order. Once per turn: You
can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; choose a
number from 1 to 3, then excavate that many cards
from the top of your Deck, send any excavated
Plant-Type monsters to the Graveyard, and if you do,
return up to that many cards from the field to the
hand (min. 1), except this card. Also, place the
other cards on the bottom of your Deck in any order.
Above average stats for a Rank 7, and Dark and
Plant allow Orea plenty of support. Orea is a Sylvan
support monster, and a big one at that. Lets dissect
Orea one effect at a time. First, you can send a
Plant-Type monster from your hand or face-up on your
side of the field to the grave to look at a number
of cards equal to the monster's level that was sent
to the grave. Then, you can place them on top of
your Deck in any order. Send at least a Level 3
Plant-Type from your hand to the Graveyard to get a
decent look at your next few cards. The higher level
monster you send to the Graveyard, the more cards
you get to rearrange. Rearranging the order of the
cards you are about to draw allows you to set up
your current moves and future moves. This effect
transitions into the next effect.
Second, you can once per turn detach an Xyz
Material from Orea, chose a number 1-3, then
excavate that many cards and any Plant-Type monsters
are sent to the Graveyard, then, send a number of
cards from the field back to their owners hand equal
to the number of Plant-Type monster sent to the
Graveyard by that effect, any other cards are placed
on the bottom of your Deck in any order. You will
likely always select 3, and if the first effect of
Orea paid off, you will be sending 3 Plant-Type
monsters to the grave, to send that many cards from
the field back to the owners hand. Sylvan monsters
will give you pluses off of this effect. If setup
correctly, you shouldn't hit any spell/trap cards
with this effect.
To make this monster in a Sylvan Deck, the best
way is excavating Sylvan Princessprout, Special
Summon her and turn her into a Level 7, then remove
Gigaplant or Sylvan Guardioak with Spore, Special
Summoning him and making him Level 7 as well. Redox
and Tempest may also be used in combination with
these cards to make Orea (if a Sylvan Deck will run
a copy of each). Copy Plant is also an option, and
with Lonefire Blossom at 2, as well as other
Plant-based support, there are options to easily
Special Summoning what you need to do this.

I shan't greet you in my typical flamboyant way this
time, my dearies. Let's get to business.
Today's card is Orea, the Sylvan High Arbiter. This
is a GENERIC 2-material Rank 7 that, essentially,
wins you the game. Rank 7, due to the existence of
Dragon Rulers, is one of the easiest ranks to make,
and plants in general are very good at Syncrho
Summoning Level 7+ monsters, so this isn't at all a
difficult card to summon. Going beyond its summoning
conditions, the effects it carries on that body are
mighty. The first lets you pitch a plant from your
hand or Field (Dandylion? Spore?) and in return you
can look at the top X cards of your deck, where X is
the sent monster's level and rearrange them in any
order. Say you send a Level 7 or higher monster to
your Graveyard, you essentially just determined the
order of over a fifth of your deck.
The second effect is no less powerful. What it does
is allow you, for the price of one detach, to
excavate 1-3 cards and for every plant you excavate
you get to bounce a number of cards up to the same
number. The idea behind this card is you use the
first effect first, and then follow up with the
second. Once you clear away the threats, you're left
with a solid 2800 beater that your opponent really
has no way of dealing with that turn, and you're
next bunch of draws (if you discarded a high level
monster) has already been decided by you.
