Bujin Hirume
- #PRIO-EN024 Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 "Bujin" monster from your Graveyard, except "Bujin Hirume". If this card, which was Summoned this way, is destroyed by your opponent's card (by battle or by card effect), and sent from your side of the field to your Graveyard, and both players have a hand: You can discard 1 card, then your opponent discards 1 card. You can only control 1 "Bujin Hirume".

Shifting to the Bujin theme, we look at Bujin
Hirume. This is a Level 4, Light attributed,
Beast-Warrior type Monster. 2000 attack (which is
deceptively good given other text) and 1000 attack.
First, we live in a world where 2000 attack on a
Level 4 Monster shouldn't be something that requires
a bunch of unnecessary handicaps. Can't be Normal
Summoned or Set...has to first be Special Summoned
from your Hand. Also only by removing a Bujin
Monster from your Graveyard. So when this card is
destroyed, but only by an opponent's card, to
include Battle, and only when Special Summoned as
previously described, you can discard a card from
your Hand, and your opponent must as well. But only
if you both have a Hand...and only if your card goes
to the Graveyard. So much text, too much crap.

Bujin Hirume
Today we look at Bujin Hirume. Statwise it is a
LIGHT/Beast-Warrior, a decent bit of support for
both attribute and type and it does help with the
Bhjin Archetype, with 2000 ATK which is very good
for a level 4 and 1000 DEF, which isn’t great but a
given with the good ATK.
First off, this card cannot be Normal Summoned or
Set, but it must first be Special Summoned by
banishing a Bujin monster from the graveyard. It
isn’t the worst cost for a Special Summon and once
it is Special Summoned you can always bring it back.
Also it will make Xyz summoning rank 4s a lot easier
adding more speed.
Of course its main effect is if this card was
Special Summoned using its effect and destroyed by
the opponent and both players have hands, you can
choose to discard a card and your opponent has to
discard. Forcing your opponent to discard is a
double-edged sword but at least you have the opinion
which is a good thing. However you are only allowed
one of these at a time and the effect is a one shot
deal.
Overall special summoning a level 4 monster with
2000 ATK is very good and the effect isn’t half bad.
Maybe one to consider

Hello Pojo Fans,
Searchable by several different cards, good stats
for a level 4, Light attribute, beast-warrior, Bujin
Hirume looks to have everything going for it. When a
card starts out “Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set”,
beware. You won't have a lack of Bujin monsters in
the Graveyard, so Summoning this monster will be
easy enough. The effect though Hirume ultimately has
is lacking. Discarding a card and having your
opponent discard a card isn't really worth the slot
this monster would take up in the deck. It could
hurt your opponent, but it may also help them if
their deck works well with cards in the grave.
Overall not a bad card, but there are better Bujin
monsters to fill slots this monster may take up.

Bujin Hirume
Competitive players are certainly using this card,
especially in 2's.
The discard effect when destroyed will
probably help you more than it would your opponent,
but it's still not a +1, so you typically would use
this effect for attrition.
Basically, crushing your opponent's last
hopes.
But that's not the biggest reason why you use this
card. If
you do want to go the control route, you have cards
like Crane, Honest and your graveyard Bujins for
extra protection.
It's a strong 2000 ATK beater that could be Special
Summoned quickly, great for Aggro offensives, push
to win games.
But by now we should all know what LV4
Special Summons are good for.
XYZ's.
This card makes 3 LV4 XYZ's Rank-4's a bit
more viable but it also makes the standard 2 LV4
XYZ's really easy to summon.
It's even possible to attack with it and then
XYZ in some circumstances.
So, it's a fast well-rounded card that is versatile.
Go XYZ really quick.
Go Aggro to bully the opponent's life points
down and make them play defensively.
Or go control as a beater with a discard
ability.
Solid support for Bujins overall.

Hello, there. I know what you came here
expecting. Artifacts or more Sylvans. I am sorry,
but I must disappoint you. I know, your most
saddened by this news.
Without further ado, today's card is Bujin Hirume.
I know, you're surprised there's still more Bujins
there to review. They have many cards, you see.
Anyway, without further further ado, let us
commence. Hirume can't be Normal Summoned and
doesn't do anything at the End Phase, unlike the
other Bujin Beast-Warriors. That, my dears, means
she must do something that the others do not do. You
can Special Summon her by banishing one Bujin
monster from your Graveyard and she's level 4. What
this means is a fast Xyz summon with your other
Bujins, greatly increasing the deck's speed.
Furthermore, when destroyed after she's special
summoned, she forces both players to discard. Bujins
sending monsters to the Graveyard is something the
deck wants to do, so it isn't much of a detriment to
you, while your opponent may be losing a crucial
card. This, gents, is the first Bujin since Yamato
that you can run in 3s for a reason beyond "I don't
have a choice."

Bujin Hirume
Now we're getting somewhere! The first lady of the
Bujins boasts a highest base attack of all the
Bujins of 2000 with a meh defense of only 1000.
She's also the only Special Summon only Bujin where
you have to banish one from the Graveyard to bring
her out, except for another copy. Obviously, Regalia
Sword has fallen out of favor with a lot of Bujin
players so banishing a Crane, Yamato, or Mikazuchi,
or even an Xyz is your optimal cost. Comboed with
anything she makes the easiest Xyz plays this side
of Bujincarnation for the deck. It also is your
easiest "keep Kaiser active" card because it's so
much fun making your opponent Warning anything from
a relic to Yamato itself to bring her out instead.
Her regular effect is interesting, but really
difficult to pull off because if it was summoned
properly and destroyed and sent to the graveyard,
you can discard 1 card from your hand to make your
opponent discard from theirs. Obviously you'd use
this to put a Hare, Turtle or Quilin in the
graveyard but that's really it and more than likely
you've already put them in the Graveyard before now.
Regardless this was the best way to end the Bujin
archtype, at least til we get a Zane that is :)
Traditional 2/5 - She's light fodder for Chaos but
that's almost the end of her usefulness there.
Advanced 4/5 - Absolutely amazing for the Bujin
Deck. Equally as searchable as any other card in the
deck, easy to special summon, combos with Arasuda(which
I'm personally not a fan) or use your normal summon
to set up an Xyz play. If you already have a degree
of field control, getting her is practically game.
Obviously she's number 2 behind Yamato in sheer
importance

Welcome to my first Card of the Day review. I
decided to start off with a card from a deck I've
actually played. Anyways, let's start this review.
This card is absolutely amazing for this deck. Its
ability to summon itself in the way it does allows
for a multitude of combos. It's searchable through
Yamato and Tenki, it makes for an easy exceed
summon, and you can combo it with Bujincarnation.
Traditional: 2 since you can't use to FTK
