Cyber Dragon Drei is a Level 4, Light attributed,
Machine, with 1800 attack (good) and 800 defense
(not so good). Light and Machine continue to be
good things. When Normal Summoned, this Monster can
make all those Cyber Dragon alias cards you control
Cyber Dragon, which is a fun effect, and it also
makes them all Level 5. Only getting that when
Normal Summoned is kinda a kick in the ass, but I
think it would be to prevent mass Rank 5 XYZ
Summoning, or at least from being too easy. If
activated, it does prevent you from Special
Summoning any non-Machine Monsters that turn. No
big deal though, oh, except that kinda kills my XYZ
theory hey? So you're looking at your Cyber Dragon
Fusions now. Still good though. If removed from
play, you can target a Cyber Dragon that can't be
destroyed by Battle or Effects for the turn. And
this card is also treated as Cyber Dragon on the
Field and in the Graveyard. It's good theme
support, not a bad attacker, I like it.

Today we are going to look at one of the new
monster cards from the new Cyber Dragon Structure
deck. Cyber Dragon Drei is one of the staples in the
deck. It gives the deck its bite. It is a Cyber
Dragon on the field and in the graveyard and it is a
Machine, so it meets all of the requirements needed
in a Cyber Dragon Deck. Drei’s ability to make all
of your Cyber Dragons on the field level 5 monsters
allows you to special summon all of those powerful
rank 5 monsters, including the all powerful Cyber
Twin Dragon. Twin Dragon is the Xyz monster the new
Cyber Dragon Deck is geared to bring out.
Cyber Dragon Drei has one more effect that makes it
a staple in a Cyber Dragon Deck. If it is banished,
you can protect one of your Cyber Dragons from
destruction. This effect works great with Cyber
Network. Network is another great card in the
structure deck that allows you to banish Cyber
Dragon Drei from your deck. So if you want to keep
your Cyber Dragon on the field, just activate
Network and banish Drei. Keep in mind that Drei
starts a new chain so you can not use Cyber Network
in response to a destruction effect it save your
Cyber Dragon.
Cyber Dragon Drei was made for a Cyber Dragon based
deck, however it can be used in any deck that is
centered around Xyz summoning rank 5 monsters as it
can always make itself a level 5 monster. Its real
power is in the Cyber Deck though and my ratings
will reflect that.

Cyber Dragon Drei
LIGHT/Machine/Effect/Level 4/1800/800
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can make all
"Cyber Dragons" you currently control become Level
5. You cannot Special Summon any monsters during the
turn you activate this effect, except Machine-Type
monsters. If this card is banished: You can target 1
"Cyber Dragon" you control; it cannot be destroyed
by battle or by card effects this turn. This card's
name becomes "Cyber Dragon" while it is on the field
or in the Graveyard.
Next up this week we have Cyber Dragon Drei. Being a
Cyber Dragon Monster it is a LIGHT/Machine so that
is good with 1800 ATK good for a level 4 and 800 DEF
which isn’t good.
Effectwise it has 3 main effects, the first happens
when it is Normal Summoned, you can turn all Cyber
Dragons into level 5 monsters but you can only
special summon Machines for that turn. This effect
is only really useful unless you have a couple of
Cyber Dragons; it doesn’t help that it only can be
activated when this card is normal summoned.
The second effect activates if this card is
banished; doesn’t matter how; 1 Cyber Dragon you
target cannot be destroy for the rest of the turn.
Sadly it only protects 1 Cyber Dragon and since this
card doesn’t have its own banishing effect, you will
have to use other cards to banish it, which could be
a hassle.
Finally this card is treats as Cyber Dragon when
it’s on the field or in the Graveyard which is a big
help.
Overall, only good in a Cyber Dragon deck, anywhere
else don’t bother.

Howdy folks. Today we look at
Cyber Dragon Drei, a new member of the family
introduced in the recent Cyber Dragon starter deck.
What does this guy do for you? Well if you have him
and a regular Cyber Dragon you have instant access
to your Nova, opening up more options for you.
Furthermore, if banished by oh, say, that new trap
card who's name escapes me, he can protect a Cydra
you already control. Given that a lot of the Cyber
Dragon cards, like Harpies, are treated as Cyber
Dragons, you have a lot of options available to you
with it.
Of the two new cards we got,
I'd say that Core is the more useful of the two, but
this is certainly not a bad card. It sets up your
graveyard, fusion, and XYZ plays, and protects your
Cyber Dragons while you set up with the trap card.
Given that the trap lets you dump on the opponent's
turn, you can set up a long-term defense while you
wait for it to run its course and you swarm the
field. Very solid indeed.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Now begins the support cards for Cyber Dragon,
starting with Cyber Dragon Drei. A Light,
Machine-Type (which is the theme of Cyber Dragon and
the deck), Level 4, 1800ATK/800DEF. “When this card
is Normal Summoned: You can make all "Cyber Dragons"
you currently control become Level 5. You cannot
Special Summon any monsters during the turn you
activate this effect, except Machine-Type monsters.
If this card is banished: You can target 1 "Cyber
Dragon" you control; it cannot be destroyed by
battle or by card effects this turn. This card's
name becomes "Cyber Dragon" while it is on the field
or in the Graveyard.”
Good all around for stats and support surrounding
Drei, so lets skip to its effects. When Drei is
Normal Summoned, you have the ability to make all
“Cyber Dragon” monsters you control become level 5.
If you do this you cannot Special Summon unless it
is a Machine-Type monster. Any monster treated as
“Cyber Dragon” can become a level 5 monster by this
effect. If you do this, you can still Special Summon
Machine-Type monsters, which is the theme of the
deck you're playing Drei in, so that restricting
likely won't hurt you. Drei is treated as “Cyber
Dragon” while on the field and in the Graveyard, so
using it for Synchro, Fusion, and Xyz possibilities
restricted only to “Cyber Dragon” gives you room to
make big plays. If Drei is banished, you can target a
“Cyber Dragon” you control and it cannot be
destroyed by battle or card effects the turn Drei is
banished. Protection for a “Cyber Dragon” monster
for a turn from battle and effects, great.
You have to Normal Summon Drei to be able to
activate the effect to make all “Cyber Dragon”
monsters level 5. Other than that, in a Cyber Dragon
deck, you should be playing at least 2 of this bad
boy. He's too good of a monster not to: remove him
for a big monster, he protects a “Cyber Dragon” that
turn, remove him on your turn, and a “Cyber Dragon”
you will have next turn guaranteed, Xyz and Fusion
possibilities off the Normal Summon, this is all
very good for a Cyber Dragon deck.

Cyber Dragon Drei
You can say numerous good things about this card.
It's stats are nice. It can protect one of your
monsters with it. And it immitates Cyber Dragon by
name. But the most useful aspect of this card is the
ability to turn itself (and/or another Cyber Dragon
clone) to level 5 to help bring out the deck's boss
XYZ, which is one of the deck's main goals. SS the
real Cyber Dragon and Normal Summon this into a
Rank5 XYZ or couple it up with another clone, as I
said earlier.
Use 3 in a dedicated Cyber Dragon deck.
Traditional – 2.5 (Okay)
Advanced – 4.0 (Great)

Isn't it weird how Yu-Gi-Oh has such a random
distribution of German words?
...
Anyway, yesterday we tackled the progenitor of
this theme, so now we come to another Cyber Dragon
card. Today is Cyber Dragon Drei (German for a
number between 1-10, have fun). Drei is a pivotal
card. Its key usage is in Xyz Summoning. You can use
it to facilitate easier Rank 5s and 6s. Drei goes a
step beyond, however, in giving your monster (Cyber
Dragon) protection from destruction (either by
battle or card effect) when banished. Since this is
a Cyber Dragon deck, banishing it is as easy as Fire
Fists filling out their backrow with junky
continuous cards. So yes, what I am saying is you
should use this. Or don't.
