Cyber Repair Plant
Normal Spell
If "Cyber Dragon" is in your Graveyard: You can
activate 1 of these effects. If you have 3 or more
"Cyber Dragons" in your Graveyard at activation, you
can activate both effects and resolve in sequence.
You can only activate 1 "Cyber Repair Plant" per
turn.
● Add 1 LIGHT Machine-Type monster from your Deck to
your hand.
● Target 1 LIGHT Machine-Type monster in your
Graveyard; shuffle that target into your Deck.
Wrapping up this Cyber Week is Cyber Repair Plant a
new Spell card for the Cyber Archetype. Cyber Repair
Plant can only be activated if you have a Cyber
Dragon in your Graveyard; of course given that a lot
of the new Cyber monsters have the effect to be
Cyber Dragon while in your Graveyard this means
there should be no problem in activating this card.
Cyber Repair Plant has two effects; the first adds 1
LIGHT/Machine from your deck to your hand. Searchers
are always good, and the searching conditions don’t
matter since if you are playing a Cyber Dragon deck,
all of your monsters are going to be LIGHT/Machines.
The second effect allows you to recycle a
LIGHT/Machine from your Graveyard back into your
deck. Personally I prefer if you could special
summon the monster to get it into your hand so you
could use it, but it still helps with deck size.
However this card as an additional activate
condition, if you have 3 or more Cyber Dragons in
your Graveyard, you can activate and resolve both
effects in sequence. While getting both effects is
great it is a shame they are in the wrong order, but
then they don’t want you to be able to pick add
monster from your Graveyard and basically add it to
your hand, despite there are cards for other
archetypes and types that can do this.
Overall, a good Cyber Dragon support card, but it
could have been better and the activate in sequence
clause does hurt it.

Happy Friday everyone! We
conclude Cyber week with a review of the new
quick-play magic card, Cyber Repair Plant.
This card has two effects, based on the number of
Cyber Dragons in your graveyard. Sort of, you
choose the effect, but can use both if you have more
than three in grave. You can either add a light
Machine monster to the hand from the deck, or return
one from the grave to the deck. Note that it does
not specify that you add/return a Cyber Dragon; just
a light machine monster. So if you want to put back
Cyber Valley, Reflect Bounder, or even something
silly like Satellite Cannon, you are welcome to do
so.
Now obviously both of these effects are situational.
You can get this card with Core, meaning you can
form a loop with the two to keep a field presence
constantly and load your graveyard with materials
for later. Or you can recycle your downed Cyber
Dragons, letting you duplicate again, dump with the
trap card, or do whatever else you please. Adding
to hand is always a good thing, so having that
option available to you is a good thing. You only
need one Cyber Dragon in the grave to use this
effect and a lot of monsters can fulfill that
requirement, so that's really not an issue.
I think it's a great addition to the Cyber deck, and
can really add some speed and versatility in
addition to the new monsters. Use it as you see
fit.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Concluding Cyber Dragon week on pojo.com, we're
taking a look at Cyber Repair Plant. This is a card
the deck will run two of at least. A Normal Spell
Card, “If "Cyber Dragon" is in your Graveyard: You
can activate 1 of these effects. If you have 3 or
more "Cyber Dragons" in your Graveyard at
activation, you can activate both effects and
resolve in sequence. You can only activate 1 "Cyber
Repair Plant" per turn.● Add 1 LIGHT Machine-Type
monster from your Deck to your hand.● Target 1 LIGHT
Machine-Type monster in your Graveyard; shuffle that
target into your Deck.”
In a Cyber Dragon deck you will likely have a great
chance of having a “Cyber Dragon” in your Graveyard.
There are three other monster that are considered
“Cyber Dragon” while on the field or in the
Graveyard. In a Cyber Dragon deck you will likely be
running three of each, giving you twelve possible
targets for “Cyber Dragon” cards. If you have 3 or
more “Cyber Dragons” in the grave at activation, you
can either add 1 Light Machine-Type monster from
your Deck to your hand, or target 1 Light
Machine-Type monster in your grave and shuffle it
into your deck. This is a RoTA for Cyber Dragons,
but can also be used to pull other Light
Machine-Type monsters you may play in the deck (Blue
Thunder T-45, Cyber Valley, Tuningware, etc.). If
you choose the other effect of this card, you'll
likely be cycling back a Fusion or Xyz that you will
be making this turn.
Needing 3 or more “Cyber Dragons” in the Graveyard
means you'll likely need to wait a few turns to
activate this card. Drawing this early leaves you
with a dead card for the time being. Only being able
to play one per turn doesn't hurt you. It would be
better if you only needed 1 “Cyber Dragon” in your
Graveyard. The restriction of playing one “Cyber
Repair Plant” per turn prevents most abuse this card
could cause.

Cyber Repair Plant
Requiring that you have a Cyber Dragon in your
graveyard prevents you from using this card opening
move, unfortunately, but the good news is the fact
that there are monsters out there that have the name
Cyber Dragon while in the graveyard, so you can meet
this card's requirements without your real Cyber
Dragon's being destroyed first
The second effect of returning a card from your
hand to your deck isn't very necessary at all, but
if you do have 3+ Cyber Dragons (again, with
substitutes out there, it's an easier requirement to
meet), it might be worth your while. The real effect
here is the searching ability which can help your
consistency, but it never becomes more than a
1-for-1 and doesn't serve to help you when you need
it the most (opening hand).
When all's said and done, it's worth using in a
Cyber Dragon deck because it does have merits, but
it never becomes more than a “try it and see what
happens” card.

I remember when I was a guppy and I asked where
do Cyber Dragons come from, I was taught that "when
a mommy Cyber Dragon loves a daddy Cyber Dragon very
much..." And then they went ahead and made this card
that totally destroys my view of the world.
....
My shattered perception of the world aside, this
is a review of Cyber Repair Plant. Card is pretty
simple in being a Reinforcement of the Army for your
LIGHT Machines, but only if you have Cyber Dragon in
your Graveyard. It's pretty simple to understand how
adding cards from your deck to your hand is good, so
I will explain to you how the second effect is.
Remember how much I've talked about Machine
Duplication this week? Well yes, it would be a bit
sad if you had two Cyber Dragons in your Graveyard
and Duplication and Core sitting in your hand. For
situations like those, you can use the second
effects to return your monsters to the deck to be
special summoned later. Being a RotA is usually
enough for a card to be good, but this card went the
extra mile.
