Another Yami saga of Orichalcos card, in
Kuribandit. This guy isn't very good, although I
admit, he's not quite as bad as he may seem at first
glance. He's not very strong, a Level 3, Fiend, with
1000 attack and 700 defense, but it's a "you're
supposed to use me for my effect card." By
excavating the top 5 cards of your Deck, only during
the End Phase of the turn this card was Normal
Summoned, you can add one of the excavated cards to
your Hand. But only if it's a Magic or Trap card.
All other cards go to the Graveyard. I mean, you're
really hoping/picking/looking for something here,
and it's a silly way to do it. It can actually be
helpful to dump Monsters to the Graveyard, but even
in the Decks it could help, I just think there are
better ways to go about doing this. Could work
really well with Sylvans though since they're all
about excavating.

Kuribandit
DARK/Fiend/Effect/Level 3/1000/700
During the End Phase, if this card was Normal
Summoned this turn: You can Tribute this card;
excavate the top 5 cards of your Deck, you can add 1
excavated Spell/Trap Card to your hand, also send
the remaining cards to the Graveyard.
This week we continue our look at Dragons of
Legend and westart off with another Yugi card in
this case; Kuribandit.
Statwise Kuribandit is a DARK/Fiend; which is
what you want fiends to be, with 1000 ATK and 700
DEF; both aren’t great but with Kuribandit’s effect
stats don’t really matter.
You see if this card is Normal Summoned during
the End Phase you can tribute Kuribandit and
excavate the top 5 cards of your deck; add 1
Spell/Trap card from the excavated cards and the
rest to into the Graveyard. Basically it’s a more
controlled version of Magical Merchant, which is
actually very good. Of course since it is during the
End Phase of your turn, you won’t be able to benefit
from your new card or probably any of the cards that
went to the Graveyard. OF course if this was your
only monster then you are defenceless.
Overall and very good card, not for all decks but
Chaos decks and the like will love this card.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Beginning this week, we've got a card that many
duelist have been waiting for since seeing him in
the show: Kuribandit. Instead of combining the 5
Kuriboh Brothers into this guy, Kuribandit is his
own monster. A Dark, Level 3 Fiend-Type like most of
the Kuriboh family, Kuribandit has 1000ATK/700DEF.
“During the End Phase, if this card was Normal
Summoned this turn: You can Tribute this card;
excavate the top 5 cards of your Deck, you can add 1
excavated Spell/Trap Card to your hand, also send
the remaining cards to the Graveyard.”
Though you won't be able to keep ALL the
spell/trap cards you reveal, Kuribandit is still a
decent card. This monster is made for the new Sylvan
archtype. Any of the archtypes monsters excavated to
the Graveyard gain their effects, and Kuribandit
will do that to all monsters excavated by his
effect. Playing this little guy in a Sylvan deck is
a must. Not only will you plus off every Sylvan
monster sent to the Graveyard by Kuribandit's
effect, you will also gain one spell/trap excavated
by Kuribandit. In any other deck, Kuribandit will
fill your grave with monsters and give you a 1 for 1
trade (unless you don't excavate a spell/trap).
Only during your End Phase can you Tribute this
card. Kuribandit could end up leaving the field
before then, and then you have used up your Normal
Summon for the turn and did not get your effect.
Kuribandit also only gets his effect off of a Normal
Summon, so you will need to add cards like Dark
Eruption to the deck to allow you to reuse the
effect.

Kuribandit
Happy cinco de mayo!
After all of these years, FINALLY a Kuriboh monster
that (gasp) actually doesn't suck.
Operating similar to Cardcar D,
you must Normal Summon it and keep it alive for the
turn, so it is vulnerable in that regard. 1000
ATK can land in a direct hit if necessary, but
otherwise it's a lame-duck for the turn. But
at the End Phase, it will be well worth it.
While you lose a little bit on the aggressive end,
as long as you don't make any huge mistakes, you're
guaranteed a 1-for-1 on this card. It triggers
graveyard effects in decks that need it like Mezuki/zombies,
Lightsworns and plenty more. Quasar Synchro
maybe? Sylvans can benefit from the
excavation. It's not a card that you can
splash into any deck like Wiretap let's say, but for
graveyard-oriented decks this can provide a lot of
support.
Aside from the obvious summon
restriction and vulnerability, it's sort of like
having a Painful Choice as a monster card. You
get a spell in the hand and monsters in the grave,
usually. There's just too much you can do with
this. Kuriboh has come a long way for sure...
Nobody's laughing now.
Also what is also surprising is
that this card is actually appealing for Traditional
since it's a DARK for Chaos, it's lightning-fast
(mills through ~1/7 of your deck) and nets you a
Spell Card of your choice.
All in all, I'd say it's a
standout card for the set and it's worth owning for
sure.

"And now I fuse my Five Kuriboh Brothers to
create, Kuribandit!" - spoken in true hammy Atem
fashion.
Hello, my splendid little fish hoppers, and welcome
to another week of enlightenment. Or rather, another
week of you getting close to it, with me as your
very humble guide. Yes, infallible me, who is always
right about everything ever. I am so humble that I
do not even mention that. Indeed.
Kuribandit is one of the 5 good cards I keep
mentioning. He's simple in application, but after
his effect has resolved he leaves you with some
choice choices. Choice. Filling up the Graveyard, is
but one way to look at the strengths of this card.
Further, you can summon it with Tour Guide from the
Underworld, do some damage, and then... oh, no you
can't. Ha, ha. See, you have to have normal summoned
him to get his end phase tribute off. If you do, you
can tribute it to get your excavation effect going.
Good and splashable card. Level 3 is decent enough,
and DARK is good.
Can't say I'm a fan of how they completely
neglected half of what made Kuribandit and
Kuribabylon things. Or rather, five halves.
