Satellarknight Deneb
Welcome to Satellarknights week.
This is a competitive archetype, but its also
one of the most poorly designed archetypes out
there.
As you'll see, a lot of these card effects are
derivative of other cards, and they're brainless
+1's.
This card is just a clone of Stratos.
You summon it and get a +1 with ease.
Not just Normal Summon, but you can get it
off Soul Charge, Call of the Haunted, and most
spammy of all, Altair.
Some searchers like 9Volt had reasonable drawbacks
attached to them, but Deneb is not that monster.
You search whichever Satellar you need for
the situation, and that's usually the one that's not
already in your graveyard.
It's generally the best opener the deck has.
You want to summon Deneb turn 1.
And then set Stellarnova Alpha to +1 off of
even further.
Then, next turn summon the Altair you just
searched and bring back Deneb again.
And if 3 Denebs out of 40 isn't good enough
odds, you can use 2 Reinforcements of the Army to
search it out.
Or Unukalhai to get it in your graveyard.
There's not really a ton to say about this card
other than that Satellarknight decks must run 3 of
these.
Assessments
Power – 3/5 ; This card improves the consistency of
the deck by miles, but by raw power, its a means to
an end rather than an end in itself.
Versatility – 5/5 ; This is a great card to draw,
whether its first turn or late game.
You basically add whatever monster you need
for the situation.
Dependability – 5/5 ; This card has no costs and
while this card does contribute to the archetype,
you don't need anything other than Deneb to plus off
of Deneb.
Card Advantage – 4/5 ; This card is a +1.
You get a card to immediately replace Deneb.
Enough said.
Speed – 5/5 ; Activates on summon, so removal-based
traps (bar Solemn Warning) doesn't work on it.
