Timaeus the Knight of Destiny
- #DRL2-EN001 "Legendary Knight Timaeus" + "Legendary Knight Critias" + "Legendary Knight Hermos"
Must be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by sending the above cards you control to the Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. (You do not use "Polymerization".) This card is unaffected by other cards' effects. Once per battle, if this card attacks or is attacked, during damage calculation (in either player's turn): You can make this card's ATK and DEF become equal to the ATK of the monster on the field with the highest ATK (your choice, if tied). When this card is destroyed by battle: You can Special Summon 3 "Legendary Knight" monsters from your hand, Deck, and/or Graveyard, ignoring their Summoning conditions.

As referenced yesterday, this should have been
the card for Monday. Timaeus the Knight of
Destiny is a brute. Well, at least in terms of
text on a card. So this is a Level 10, Warrior
type, "Fusion" Monster, as it isn't a typical
Fusion. ? attack and defense and the attack and
defense are determined by the attack of the
strongest Monster on the Field (both attack and
defense become that value). Said effect is
applied once a turn during Damage Calculation.
But, for a huge piece of protection, this card is
immune to other card effects. So you're
probably looking at the 2400-2800 range, depending
on the Deck you're playing against, perhaps a bit
higher. Still strong though. The
Summoning for this card, while obviously
appropriate, is just a nightmare, having to have all
three Legendary Knights on the Field. Which
you should know isn't an easy task...at all.
If this card is destroyed by Battle, you get to
Special Summon the three Knights from your Hand,
Deck, or Graveyard, ignoring the Summoning
conditions. Another plus most definitely.
But even just to destroy in Battle, all your
opponent has to do is make the Monster that matches
this guy stronger, for one Battle. Lots of
investment, and just not enough payoff.

Timeaus the Knight of
Destiny
Dear lord this card is awful.
It's in the running for the 2nd hardest card to
summon after Gate Guardian. It's protected by
card effects, but it could be killed by a Skull
Servant if its the only other monster on the field.
Yes, it could take on a 3000+ ATK monster (which
aren't common in the game) but we have basic removal
for that. It doesn't take up deck space,
fortunately, so run it in your Extra Deck for
cosmetic purposes.

I want to start by saying in theory, it could
cost 6000 life points and 3 turns to summon this by
the intended way. Legend of Heart costs 2000 and a
tributed Warrior type monster to get up to 3 of the
Knights after banishing their corresponding spell
from the hand or graveyard. OK. Then we send all
three Knights to the graveyard to special summon
Timaeus the Knight of Destiny. After that huge
investment, we would get a level 10 monster that is
unaffected by all card effects. Sweet, now we just
need a hefty attack to go along with...wait ?/?. So
you're telling me this card will never attack
directly? It only gets as big as the biggest monster
on the field. So it must be immune to battle, right?
Nope. When it crashes into a monster with the same
attack, you can special summon the 3 Knights from
anywhere except the banished zone back to the field
ignoring their summoning restrictions.
The Knights are good because they banish face up
spell/trap (Pendulums) and give you resources from
the grave, but We aren't reviewing the Knights. The
summoning of this card can be mitigated slightly
with Phantom of Chaos, but then you banish one of
the Knights and since you wouldn't be running more
than 1 of each, you'd lose out on this cards after
battle effect. Elemental Hero Prisma could work, but
we aren't reviewing that card either. As an Extra
deck monster, you have no reason to run this because
there is no reasonable expectation to summon it. I
hope I'm not missing something easy. If you're
really determened to run this, it's going to have to
be in its own dedicated deck. Run Fusion
Conscription, Prisma, and Honest and maybe get an
OTK with the Knights. Good Luck.
Score: 2.5/5 Needs its own deck, but in that deck,
it is necessary.
Art: 2.5 I want something with more action.

Well, who's up for a doozie of a Fusion monster?
This seems like a fun card, maybe even a
game-breaking one. But you have to take into account
that this requires you to have three monsters- the
Legendary Knights- on the field at the same time.
And let's not forget, they all need “Legend of
Heart,” plus at least 2000 of your LPs, PLUS at
least three “Legendary Dragon” cards in your hand,
Deck, or Graveyard, just to get on the field. I told
you it was a doozy.
So let's say you're playing with Legendary
Dragon/Knight cards exclusively. Mybe you can
actually get this guy on the field by your fourth or
fifth turn. On one hand, you can save him from a
Bottomless or Torrential Tribute upon being
summoned, as well as ignoring all other insta-kill
card effects. On the other hand, if you are
attacking with this guy, you're likely going to have
him suicide into the opposing monster, as he gains
the ATK of one other monster on the field. Odds are,
you and your opponent will have one monster each, so
Timaeus going kamikaze is almost a sure thing. The
upside to that is that after he's destroyed, you get
your three Legendary Knights back, free of charge.
This card belongs in a Legendary Knights/Dragons
deck ONLY. No other deck has the capacity for him.
None. Only anime die-hards will go for this bad boy,
but time will tell if it's a good investment.
Final Score: 5/5 for Legendary Dragon/Knight, 1/5

Whats going on guys? Its CJ here again and the card
we are reviewing today is.... TIMAEUS THE
KNIGHT OF DESTINY
Another awesome anime card that im happy they made.
Now lets break this card down a bit and see what we
have.
First the card is a little hard to bring out. You
have to have the 3 Legendary Knights on the field,
then you can bring this out by sending the knights
to the graveyard. A lot to try to accomplish for one
card. But if you manage to get it out it does have a
great effect.
If you bring it out in defense mode your opponent
really can't do anything to get over it.
Another anime card im excited to get, but probably
wont see any competitive play.
Rate 5/5 if you can bring it out.
