Retaliating “C”
See what
happens when you keep your place like trash? The
insects start breeding and then they rebel against
you! So remember boys and girls, a little cleaning
every day, keeps those pesky roaches at bay!
This card is
of course the most recent addition to the “”C””
series of cards, all of whom each fit nicely in
their own niche roles, and this one certainly may be
the best one yet.
While the
activation requirement for this card is very easy to
fulfil, you will not be able to use this against
every Deck, and so quite simply, this becomes a Side
Deck card, but with the Decks out there currently
that use Spell cards to Special Summon a monster, it
becomes a very solid Side Deck choice, and is one
that shouldn’t be overlooked.
Such a
simple effect of Banishing cards that would
otherwise be sent to the Graveyard can achieve so
much, and its most effective against the following;
The most
obvious choice Decks to use this card against are
Nekroz and Shaddoll, in these match-ups you’ll
prevent your opponent from sending the cards to the
Graveyard that either will continue to fuel further
advantage or plays as well as ensure that the Summon
via that Spell card is as costly as absolutely
possible, and can help to level the playing field if
you are playing a lesser match-up against these two
Decks.
Probably one
match-up that Retaliating “C” can really shine
against is Infernoids, as chaining Retaliating “C”
to Reasoning or Monster Gate is going to result in
your opponent losing a LOT of cards to the Banished
Zone, and potentially even enough to threaten them
with Game loss… Although this really does tend on
what they end up Excavating, and this is of course a
very random thing, so results will vary greatly
here.
You can even
Summon Retaliating “C” against the now lesser seen
Soul Charge, as well as against any Masked Hero
Spell cards that you may encounter either as random
“Techs” or as part of a Masked Hero Deck.
And of
course, Elder Entity Norden is about to be released,
and as such, Instant Fusion is going to become
commonplace in a LOT of Decks, so Retaliating “C” is
going to be able to prevent further on plays that
may result… Such as with those Decks that include
Performage Trick Clown.
And if all
of the above sounds like a GREAT reason to run
Retaliating “C”, don’t decide just yet, it actually
gets a bit BETTER!!!
For you see,
when Retaliating “C” goes from the Field to the
Graveyard, you are then able to add 1 EARTH-type
Insect monster from your Deck to the Graveyard,
which alone provides great support to insects alone,
especially if they every become actually good.
More
importantly, and relevant though is the fact that
Retaliating “C” can search out from your Deck 2
other highly useful “”C”” monsters in Maxx “C” and
Flying “C”, and this is very useful indeed.
Rating:
4.25.
The retaliation is real here with this little bug,
underestimate the power of this little fella at your
own peril… Now go clean your room!
