Hushed Psychic Cleric
#EXVC-EN027 When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned, it is changed to Defense Position. Once per turn, you can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard to select 1 Psychic-Type monster in your Graveyard, and remove it from play. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, select 1 monster removed from play by this effect, and Special Summon it.

I'm generally not a fan of monsters with discard
effects because they require 2 cards. The
monster itself and the card you're getting rid of to
activate its effect. Yes, you get back the
monster you got rid of, but only after this card
dies (which makes it a slow effect to begin with).
What you're left with is a 2100 defender, basically
a Battle Footballer. The new Kozmo monsters
are psychic-type and this card could trigger
Kozmotown's effect, but honestly, I think they're
totally fine on their own with the banishing and
Special Summoning.

This isn't a new card (although not looked at in
4 plus years) but Hushed Psychic Cleric does fit the
Kozmo theme rather nicely. We have a Level 3, Earth
attributed, Psychic monster, with 0 attack but a
nice 2100 defense. Now, once a turn, you can
send a card from your Hand to your Graveyard, to
remove a a Psychic monster from your Graveyard from
play. It may seem like kind of a big deal to
discard a card in able to do this, but it allows you
to remove pretty much whatever you want...at least
as long as you're holding it and willing to discard
it. When this card goes from the Field to the
Graveyard, (again, in no specific manner), Special
Summon any one monster that was removed from play by
this cards effect. I like it, and that could
be huge in the Deck, as by now, you should get the
point as to how big the removal factor is for Kozmo
cards.

Hushed Psychic Cleric is a decent monster.
Obviously, we are reviewing this monster this week
because of its utility in the Kozmo deck. However, I
don't think it's necessary. Anyway, the stats are
Level 3 Earth Psychic monster with 0 Atk and 2100
Def. I already dislike the Earth aspect. Kozmos like
everything to be Light. Even Dark would be better
for Chaos food. The 0 Atk isn't an issue because
when it's Normal or Flip Summoned it puts itself in
Defense Position with that hefty 2100 Def. Psychic
makes sense. So far this is underwhelming.
There is essentially only one effect but it is slow.
Ideally, you want to set this and have your
opponent's weak monster run into this. Then on your
turn activate it. Once per turn, go nuts and banish
1 Psychic type monster from your graveyard. Then, if
this card goes from the field to the graveyard,
Special Summon 1 of the Psychic monsters removed by
this effect. Fortunately, this effect is mandatory
and can't miss any timing. Unfortunately, you have
to discard a card from your Hand before you can
banish anything.
There are some shenanigans with this and Emergency
Teleport and Kozmotown, but I don't see the need.
There are faster ways to special summon from the
graveyard, and there are better targets for
Emergency Teleport. If you can Special Summon a
tuner, I suppose you can Synchro Summon something
with this and Special Summon the banished monster,
but I still feel that would be a very situational
combo.
Score: 2/5 Just run Gold Sarcophagus if you want to
banish something so badly.
Art: 4/5 Looks great.

While
not an official Kozmo card, Hushed Psychic Cleric is
one monster worth having in the Kozmo deck. He has a
pretty good 2100 DEF, and no matter how you summon
him, he's going to DEF mose immediately. (Special
summons can still put him in attack mode, but why
would you want that??)
Once
per turn, you can send one card from your hand to
the Grave, then select one Psychic in the Grave to
remove it from play. Ah! Sensing a theme here, are
we? And when he himself his the Grave, you can
choose to grab a Psychic monster you banished from
Cleric's effect and special summon it to the field.
This
works on two levels: one, you get to set yourself up
for a Psychic-themed comeback. Two, you can use this
with Kozmotown to get the banished Psychic back even
faster, and without having to sacrifice Cleric that
turn. But if you go this route, keep in mind that
only Dot and Glinda are manageable, so your
resources are thin. ...For now.
Final Score: 5/5 (Psychic/Kozmo Decks)

Whats up everyone its CJ here and today the card we
have for you is.....
HUSHED PSYCHIC CLERIC
Here we a card that really isnt that great. You have
to discard a card from your hand and then you
can remove one psychic monster from play. Now when
this card is sent from the field to the grave, you
can bring out the monster you banished with this
effect.
Its slow for one thing cause you have to wait for
your opponent to get rid of it. And the discard
hurts. I know physics have support but the Kozmozs
are where its at.
