The big beater the Kozmo deck needs. Tough
to beat in battle, can't be targeted and even when
it is destroyed (via Raigeki and such), it replaces
itself with a Sliprider (which can pop an s/t) or
any of the LV4's. The LP gain effect is
definitely appreciated to compensate for the costs
of the other Kozmo cards, and since it's harder to
get rid of than your average card, it wouldn't be
too hard to sit on this guy for at least 2 turns.

Kozmo Forerunner, here's the heavy hitting
Monster for this Deck, at least for now. Level
7, Light, Machine, an excellent 2800 attack (though
the 1400 defense is a bit troubling). So for
starters, Forerunner can't be targeted by your
opponent's card effects. More and more cards
target, hence more are played regularly, making that
effect only better as time goes by. Oh, and
remember how a bunch of the low level Kozmo cards
make you lose (small amounts of) Lifepoints for
various effects. This guy GIVES you 1000
Lifepoints during each Standby Phase. If this
card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, by
Battle OR Card Effect, you can remove it from play
to Special Summon a Level 6 or lower Kozmo Monster
from your Deck. Honestly, great attack, three
equally good effects, and you're never actually
going to Tribute for him. He's very nice for
the Deck also

Finally we have reached Friday. Today's card is
Kozmo Forerunner. This could be considered the boss
monster of the set. This is a Level 7 Light
Machine-Type monster with 2800 Atk and 1400 Def.
Sacred Sword of Seven Stars can be played with this.
Just let Kozmotown bring it back for you at the cost
of 700 LP. All the Kozmo monsters are excellent
Honest bait. Continuing with the OTK theme, use
Limiter Removal to pump this to a whopping 5600 ATK.
Use two Limiter Removals and your opponent loses to
this 11200 ATK if they have an ATK position monster
on the field with 3200 Atk or less. It can go toe to
toe with other boss monsters and even gets around El
Shaddoll Construct's effect.
How does it survive the boss to end all bosses? It
can't be targeted by opponent's effects. That is
great protection from a whole host of cards. No
Compulsory Evacuation Device, no Book of Moon, no
Effect Veiler, Then, if it survives to the Standby
Phase (and it should it's strong and can't be
targeted), you gain 1000 LP. This mitigates the
marginal Life Point costs of the other Kozmo cards.
Finally, If this card is destroyed and sent to the
graveyard, you get to banish it and Special Summon
any Level 6 or lower Kozmo monster from your deck.
Iike this theme but I love this monster in
particular.
Score: 4.5/5 I wish it couldn't be targeted OR
destroyed.
Art: 4/5 Bulky ship is strong while Sliprider is in
the background being fast and destroying traps. I
love when the images match the theme.

Like
Sliprider, this ship is based on the Silver Shoes of
the original Oz text. I'm also realizing that
there's a “Star Wars” inspired theme here too, but
screw that! I'm all for the Oz theme!
At a
whopping 2800, he can take care of most oppositions,
but it's his effect that really wins the day.
During
every Standy Phase, you gain 1000 LP, which means
paying LP for other Kozmo effects just got a whole
less trivial. Also, he's immune to target effects
from your opponent, meaning he can't fall into Trap
Holes (Botomless or otherwise), nor can he be
Shrunken down or controlled via Creature Swap or
Enemy Controller. But he can be Torrentialed and
Mirror Forced, so that's a downer.
If he's
destroyed by either battle or card effect, you can
banish him to farm for another Kozmo monster, level
6 or under. And lest we forget, Kozmotown can bring
him back from oblivion, so there's potential here
for a comeback.
The
Kozmo theme is still young, but so far it's looking
very impressive. Here's looking forward to new
Oz-based cards in the near future.
Final Score: 5/5
