This is your your go-to low-scale Pendulum in
Performages. You, of course, also have Vector
Pendulum or Samurai Cavalry (which of them you
prefer is up to you), but Mirror Conductor is a 3-of
staple card in the deck because you want to use
Luster Pendulum the Dracoslayer's effect to bring
another one into play.
In this current format, monsters have low ATK
(1850-2500 is considered strong). While
Performage decks are lacking in ATK muscle, it's
essential that Mirror Conductor reduces the ATK of
opponent's monsters so that you can get over them.
Plus, it's revivable as a Pendulum, it can use the
same effect as a monster (for a negligible cost of
500 LP) and it's a LV4 for XYZ plays if needed.
I'm sure, as the Arc V era progresses, we'll get
better low-scale options and Mirror Conductor will
be a 1-of, but for now it's very good.

Closing the week, we shift from Performapal back
to Performage. Performage Mirror Conductor is
a Light, Spellcaster, who is Level 4 (and a 3 on the
Pendulum Scale) with 600 attack and 1400 defense.
As is common with the theme, neither stat there is
going to win you many contests. For a Pendulum
effect, you choose a Special Summoned Monster on the
Field, (this is a target effect) and its attack and
defense both become whichever value is lower, even
after this card leaves the Field. That can be
cool, especially for bigger Monsters who have
gigantic attack but paltry defense scores. The
Monster effect here is similar, but instead of a
permanent change to both, you can swap the attack
and defense, although this effect only holds until
the end of the turn. You can use the Monster
effect during either players' turn however.
You do take a negligible 500 Damage for using this
effect too. This Performage Monster falls
about average to me, not bad, not good, honestly I
think annoying is the appropriate term here.
Still has uses though.

Finally Friday! Performage Mirror Conductor is a
Level 4 Light Spellcaster-type Pendulum Monster with
600 Atk and 1400 Def and Scales of 3. Here is a
searchable low scale Performage. The Def is really
where it's at since it might become its attack by
effect, though not a very high attack. Being a
Spellcaster comes in handy if you manage to Special
Summon the oldie-but-goodie Arcanite Magician with
this and Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit. Or you can go the
XYZ route into Trapeze Magician or a bunch of other
Rank 4 monsters. This conductor has decent stats.
The Pendulum Effect is juicy. Once per turn you can
hinder a face-up Special Summoned monster on either
side of the field by making its Atk and Def equal to
the lower value of the two. It stays that way for
the rest of the turn even if Mirror Conductor leaves
the field. Its Monster Effect can be activated once
during either player's turn to switch a face-up
monster's Atk and Def for the entirety of the turn.
Then you take 500 damage. The monster effects has
one of those minor damage effects to work with the
other Performages. All-in-all, the Performance
engine is very consistent and we'll be seeing it in
competitive decks for a while.
Score: 3.5/5 Manipulation effects come in handy and
these can be activated in the Damage Step.
Art: 5/5 I get mirrors, spell casting, the
performing arts, and a baton for conducting. I'm
happy.

Performage Mirror Conductor
So I actually had to re-read this one's effect a few
times to fully understand it, but if I'm reading it
right, then this card as a Pendulum will power down
a selected monster by whichever is lower, its ATK or
DEF points. Not bad, as I can see how it could
effect monsters with power boosts; however, it's
almost always better to just wipe out a monsters'
stats to a significant low, or just wipe it out
entirely.
Its Monster effect is like a small Ojama Country or
Sword and Shield, with a cost of 500 LP per usage,
but the upside is that you can activate it either
turn. And since most high-level monsters have a
higher ATK stat than DEF, this could be
game-breaking. The only trick would be to keep this
card alive long enough for you to bait your opponent
into ramming his most powerful monsters into a wall.
(Perhaps a sort of... Mirror Wall? Eh? Eh??)
The cool thing about Pendulum Monsters like this is
that you have options, and some will pick the Spell
option than the monster one. I personally favor this
one's Monster form over the Pendulum form, but
others may say the opposite. And that's what makes
these cards so fun: their variety. I'm still a bit
standoffish when it comes to Pendulums in general,
but I can see where other duelists find satisfaction
in them. So to each his own. Or hers.
