Odd-Eyes Fusion
- #DOCS-EN063

Fusion Summon 1 Dragon-Type Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or your side of the field as Fusion Materials. If your opponent controls 2 or more monsters and you control no monsters, you can also use up to 2 "Odd-Eyes" monsters in your Extra Deck as Fusion Materials. You can only activate 1 "Odd-Eyes Fusion" per turn.

Baneful

It works on any Dragon-type Fusion Monster, which is versatile now and open-ended for future cards/combos which come out.  Derived from Shaddoll Fusion, you can Fusion Summon with materials (at less, or no, cost) from your Extra Deck.  Right now the only Odd-Eyes monster which is a Fusion right now is Vortex Dragon, which is certainly a strong capable monster but won't make Odd-Eyes or Dragon decks high tier.  This card might have potential (as Odd-Eyes is a central theme to Arc V and often gets more support), but right now it's seeing little competitive play and I can't be certain that this card will get better over time.

Odd-Eyes Fusion...this is a great card for Dragon players.  It's fair and balanced, and not overpowered by not being made a Quickplay.   You get to Fusion Summon a Dragon Monster from your Extra Deck by using Monsters from your Hand or the Field, to your side of the Field.  Furthermore, this card almost encourages you to be at a disadvantage.  If your opponent controls two or more Monsters, and you control none, you can also use two Odd Eyes Monsters from the Extra Deck for your Fusion.  You're only allowed to use one of these a turn, but it should still be a good way for you to generate some advantage.

Hello Pojo Fans,

Dragons had one type-specific fusion card before Odd-Eyes Fusion appeared. Standard Polymerization-like Fusion restriction, but then the twist of having no monsters benefiting you comes in. No monsters on you side allows for up to 2 “Odd-Eyes monsters in your Extra Deck to be used instead of stuff from your hand/field, or be used in combination with the Fusion Summon. It doesn't specify an “Odd-Eyes Fusion Monster” so Five-Headed Dragon is in play, as well as all “Odd-Eyes” Dragon Fusion monsters. It had a little something more that Polymerization doesn't have, but at the end of the day it is still a Fusion card. If it also involved the graveyard it would be even better.

Odd-Eyes Fusion is fairly simple. You can Fusion Summon any Dragon-type Fusion monster from your Extra deck using monsters from your Hand or Field. It is technically worse than Polymerization in that it can only get Dragons and can only be used once per turn. However, if your opponent controls 2 or more monsters while you control none, you can use up to 2 Odd-Eyes monsters from your Extra Deck in addition to materials from your Hand or Field. With how most cards float from the Graveyard or Extra Deck, this card will almost never deplete resources. There is going to be a lot more support for Odd-Eyes down the line because it is the protagonist theme in the anime, so this card's potential will only go up. Currently, there are only a few Odd-Eyes cards that live in the Extra Deck at the start of the duel, while others need to be Pendulums that get there later.

Score: 3.5/5 If it did something in the grave, it would be better.
Art: 2/5 Is it supposed to look like a skeleton?
