Night Dracolich
Nobody uses Wyrms, so it basically means all your
face-up opponent's monsters are shifted to defense
mode with 0 DEF.
It lets you get over monsters in battle and
it's otherwise a 1700 beater.
It breaks through Djinn-locks and other
situations, but there's better options out there to
do that.

Closing the week we come to Night Dragolich.
Wyrms are fun, and this is pretty decent support for
them. Resembling Dragons, as I'm sure you're
aware, much in the way Psychics, for instance tend
to resemble others. This guy is mean.
He's Dark, and Level 4, with a respectable 1700
attack, and the common 0 defense for the type.
All Special Summoned non-Wyrms (from the Main or
Extra Deck, not the Graveyard) are changed to
Defense position. Furthermore, the same
Monsters lose Defense equal to their original
Defense. So that can make some Monsters, most
powerful, annoying Monsters, very easy to destroy.
They can still use Effects to be protected, and
still Magic and Trap cards of course, but this is
something your Wyrm Deck (which will be getting MUCH
more support) in triples.
Rating: Honestly, it's a 4/5 at least in it's Deck

When is a Dragon not a Dragon?
When it’s a Wyrm!
The only Decks that I’ve actually seen this card
used in is Yang Zing’s and Skull Servant’s, and
while at a first glance this may seem surprising,
the fact that most Decks are dependant on the Extra
Deck would simply make this a hinderance to them
rather than a help.
What helps to make this cards effect more useful is
that it is Continuous, so it doesn’t start a Chain
or Target or do anything that would otherwise make
its effect vulnerable.
And while any monster Special Summoned from the
Extra Deck (including Pendulum Summon) or Main Deck
before or after this card is Summoned, and that is
not a “Wyrm” will automatically turn to DEF
position, and thus have its DEF reduced to zero,
meaning that any monster with an ATK of above zero
will be able to destroy them by battle, there are
several ways in which to get around this cards
effect.
Quite clearly, most Decks have cards that can be
Normal Summoned that have an ATK equal to or larger
than 1700, and the effect of Night Dragolich does
not effect a monster that is Special Summoned from
the Graveyard or Hand either, plus, some monsters
aren’t able to be effected by monsters either,
leaving plenty of opportunity to for someone to play
around this card.
Any Qliphort monster that is Special Summoned from
the Hand is of course not affected by this cards
effect… But you knew that already… Right?
So while it is true that this card CAN be played
around, in many cases you will be using it to help
you clear away those generally difficult to get
around Extra Deck monsters, and this is how its able
to be used so cleverly by Skull Servants as while
they are able to use their Extra Deck when needed,
their big Summons, AKA King of the Skull Servants is
made from the Graveyard, and is thus unaffected by
the effect of Night Dragolich.
I believe that this is a very cleverly designed card
that can be used in some instances as a card to
further the “Stun” aspect that can be utilised by
some Yu-Gi-Oh! Decks.
And while I don’t see there being a wholesale use of
Night Dragolich, if its able to support a Decks
strategy It’ll see play.
Currently though, most Decks must Special Summon
from their Extra Deck or Main Deck, so there is
simply no logical reason to play it.
Rating: 3.25. It’s effect is actually very useful,
however its also incredibly limiting, this will mean
that overall it will see very little play.
One question remains though, with artwork like that,
why is it NOT a Zombie???
