Manju of the Ten
Thousand Hands
We never reviewed
this gem before. This was probably because it has
been Pojo tradition to focus on a set's holos before
the commons. And as a result, we've reviewed crap
like Chaosrider Gustaph from the Invasion of Chaos
era, but not Manju. But today after 10 long years,
Manju finally gets his chance to shine.
Simply put, Manju is
a +1 for Rituals that helps increase their
consistency by basically eclipsing Sonic Bird and
Senju. It's always been a great card for fun decks,
but now with Nekroz, it has jumped to tier 1. And
that explains why, before the THSF reprint, he
jumped from $1 to $5.
Just as it's always
been, every Ritual based deck must run three of
these.

Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands
This card is an absolute staple in any and all
Ritual Decks… With the exception of some Gishki
builds.
The biggest downside to this card is that its effect
can only activate when Normal Summoned or Flip
Summoned, although if you’ve flipped Manju face-down
with a Book of Moon you may provide yourself with an
additional chance to gain its effect.
Normally though you’ll only be gaining its effect
when you Normal Summon it alone, so don’t get
yourself too excited here!
Obviously the focus of the Meta currently is on the
use of this card in Nekroz, and for good reason,
however for those of you who played with or played
against Herald of Perfection Decks, I’ll still have
fond memories… Uh, nightmares of how it performed
there as not only is Manju a Fairy, but its also
Light-type and thus it could either be combined with
Herald of Perfection as its discard or instead with
Honest as a way in which to at times make unexpected
comebacks.
Sometimes the only issue with Manju though is that
you need to ensure that you make the correct choice
with what card you add, be it Ritual Monster or
Ritual Spell, luckily for the Nekroz player then is
it that there are several ways in which this choice
can be made all the easier.
This is one of the best Ritual support cards ever
made, and considering that it is also generic means
that there is simply no reason to not have 3 of this
card in all but each and every Ritual Deck.
Rating: 4.5.
Only the fact that it needs to be Normal Summoned
lets it down as although its Attribute and Type may
at times prove to be beneficial, realistically
neither its Attribute, Type or ATK/ DEF stats
ultimately matter, this is a Deck searcher, and that
is what truly matters when it comes to Manju of the
Ten Thousand Hands.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands is going to see more
attention now that the new “Nekroz” monsters are
released. Simple and effective for Ritual decks,
summon him either by Normal or Flip, get your choice
of a Ritual Spell or Monster card from your deck.
LIGHT Attribute and Fairy-Type lend some support to
Manju fitting into a build that revolves around
Rituals mixed with LIGHT or Fairy-Type monsters.
Weak ATK and DEF don't matter as much as Manju not
getting its effect when Special Summoned.
A must in 3's for Ritual decks, useless if you don't
run Rituals. Plain and simple card to use.

Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands is pretty much an
auto 3-of in any Ritual Deck; after all, why
wouldn’t you run three copies of Elemental HERO
Stratos?
That’s exactly what Manju is. He is a Stratos for
Ritual Decks, giving you the ability to grab
whatever monster or Spell you need at the time. The
fact that he stays on the board even after the
search means he is a +1 in card advantage, and can
be used as fodder for whatever Ritual Summon you are
going for.
Nekroz was already consistent enough, but Manju
takes their power plays to an entire new level,
giving them strong setup with Lavalval Chain and
Unicore. Much like all of the other generic Ritual
support cards, this is a card that has always been
incredible, but held back by the mediocrity of what
it supported.
The OCG has already gone ahead and Limited this card
(along with his brother Senju and Preparation of
Rites). Perhaps we’ll see something like that happen
to us in April or July?

I have been so busy lately readers, I apologize
that I haven't been more active lately. Anyways, on
to today's card, we have Manju of the Ten Thousand
Hands(also known as Ritual's Stratos), and a very
important part of the Nekroz deck.
It's stats are barely passable for a level 4
monster, clocking in at an alright 1400/1000. Being
a light means for Honest possibility, and being a
fairy gives it all sorts of synergy with Kristya and
the Heralds. Being level 4 makes for very easy rank
4's with Nekroz Unicore, who this card helps to
make.
Whenever its Normal or Flip Summoned, you can add
any Ritual Spell or monster from your deck to your
hand. The possibilities here are enormous, but
obviously limited to Ritual decks, of which there
are only so many, and you only need to look a little
to understand what decks use this. The obvious
candidate is Nekroz, but there are other decks like
Herald that also use this.
Overall, a great consistency booster for any ritual
deck, and great rank 4, Herald of Perfection, and
Nekroz of Valkyrus fodder.

Manju Of The
Ten Thousand Hands
A very solid
card for most ritual decks, Manju has been reprinted
as a Super Rare in The Secret Forces due to how
amazing it is in Nekroz in particular. No other deck
can abuse this card to such an extent.
Manju is an
improved version of, or more accurately, a
combination of, two other searchers for Ritual
Monsters – Senju Of The Thousand Hands and Sonic
Bird. Manju’s advantage over those cards in an
average ritual deck is rather clear. You need both a
Ritual Spell and a Ritual Monster to summon, but if
you’re stuck with a mismatched Senju + monster, or
Sonic Bird + Spell, you’re not really in an improved
position. Manju sidesteps that.
In Nekroz,
where Manju and Senju are effectively Elemental Hero
Stratos, there’s never going to be this issue, due
to Nekroz Of Clausolas searching Spell Cards itself,
therefore it’s recommended that you play both Manju
and Senju in the deck.
There’s a
couple of other things that are interesting about
Manju – you can use it rather well in a Saffira,
Queen Of Dragons deck, where you can tribute it to
summon Saffira and then be able to add it back to
your hand in the end phase due to Saffira’s effect,
so it being Light rather relevant – you could even
use it as a Black Luster Soldier – Envoy Of
Beginning target in that deck or even in Nekroz!
(Note: I don’t recommend, nor do I condone the use
of Black Luster Soldier – Envoy Of The Beginning in
Nekroz).
