It took you 13 years to release this, Konami?
True, it would have been really broken in the era of
Delinquent Duo and Pot of Greed. But still at
least we have it. Since Doppelganger was
already a card name, they called it Mimicat instead
(which makes a lot of sense).
We can wax poetic about all the possible cards you
could get out of this for a while, but this card
does have it's share of problems.
1. Toons still aren't strong. (They might win a
locals though)
2. This card is situational in requiring 2 other
specified cards.
3. The opponent's graveyard cards may work well for
their archetype but not for Toons
4. This isn't a great card early game since the
opponent's graveyard is weak.
Would've been way more groundbreaking of an effect
10 years ago, but, nonetheless, it's still welcome
support. All Toon decks should consider using
a copy.

Hello Pojo Fans,
We'll get to the ban list next week, for now, we've
got some Dragons of Legends 2 for you, starting with
one of the best cards in the set: Minicat.
Toon decks are likely always going to have a “Toon
World” and a “Toon” monster on the field, so those
requirements aren't really anything. The ability to
use essentially any card in your opponents grave can
be summed up with one phrase: game-breaking. That
can be said a lot, but this card literally is.
Special Summon any monster (that can be Special
Summoned) from your opponents graveyard, or select a
spell/trap and set it on your side of the field. You
can still activate the spell this turn, and
regardless of them knowing which card to hit with a
destruction effect you will likely still be able to
activate it.
The only real downsides to the card is that they
could MST your spell/trap set before you get to
activate it, but that is still a 1-for-1 trade, or
if you were in a top-decking situation and didn't
have the requirements for this card. Minicat in the
early game may not be a good thing either, but its a
card you can hold onto without feeling rushed to
play it. Wait for the right moment and use it to
deal a serious, if not fatal blow. Its power is
obvious, its requirements simple to meet. The only
thing they could've done better was to make the
monster you Special Summon to your side of the field
be treated as a “Toon” monster, but that would've
been broken if they didn't include the “it cannot
attack the turn it is Summoned” clause.

We're looking at some cards from the Dragons of
Legends 2 set. First up, Mimicat. A Pegasus special.
I was so excited over the new Toon stuff. This card
is just like Pegasus and his Toon deck, bonkers.
It's a normal spell card and if you control Toon
World and a Toon monster, you can activate this
card. Target 1 card in your opponent's graveyard: If
it is a monster card, special summon it to your side
of the field, if it is a spell/trap card, set it to
your spell/trap zone. You can only use 1 Mimicat per
turn. It is a very nasty little card. It can net you
anything your opponent has already used. Big ole
monster your opponent has in the grave? Yours. Spell
or Trap that you might need? Yours. And all you need
to have is a Toon monster and Toon world on your
side of the field. Easy peasy with Toon Kingdom and
Toon Table of Contents. Hey, you know how the new
F&L list is now to be changed whenever they need to
change it? This card might wind up there sometime
soon. It is a great card, a must for all the new
Toon decks that will be popping up real soon.
