Baneful

With strong 2800 ATK, easy summonability and a removal effect, it could have been a good card but there's several things wrong.

1 - It requires that you use a copy of Odd Eyes Dragon in your deck (that card is utter trash and a waste of space).

2 - If draw Odd-Eyes Dragon before this card, you have to discard it from hand rather than dumping, incurring you an extra minus.

3 - Getting a monster removal effect only after battle is slow, and this card is still victim to trap cards that might hurt it before it destroys something.

If you were somehow allowed to summon two more copies of OESD without dumping OED (if you've already dumped it before), it would've been good.  But right now, it's way too situational for way too little pay off.  Don't bother with it.

Paladin

It's a strange week folks, most notably our card on Wednesday, but today and tomorrow we peek into the Saber Force Starter Deck, today beginning with Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon.  At a glance, the core stats are very good.  Light, Dragon, Level 7, and a beefy 2800 attack (the 2000 defense leaves a bit to be desired but it isn't bad).  So we have a  Special Summon condition, albeit a bit odd.  You can Tribute a Light Monster, to send a copy of this card from your Hand, Deck, OR Graveyard, to Special Summon this card.  It's not difficult to do, and it's versatile, so I'm in favor of this effect.  Secondly, when this card destroys a Monster by Battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you're able to destroy a card your opponent controls.  That's a nifty effect, and a potential +1 every turn.  Great for Dragons, and honestly, he's fun even outside of there.

Hello Pojo Fans,

Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon may need “Odd-Eyes Dragon” to bring out its complete power, but if a build is made to use both in some way, it can set up a powerful field. Putting a DARK Dragon in the grave alongside a LIGHT monster of any Attribute to Special Summon a 2800ATK Dragon sets up more Special Summons whether they be Chaos-based or Dragon-based. The added benefit to +1 after destroying a monster and sending it to the grave is also great. Search out OESD with Draconnection, get OESD to the field (by Special Summon or Normal Summon), destroy your opponents monster in battle with Odd-Eyes Saber, kill their remaining monster with its effect, then hit your opponent with direct attacks. Normal Summoning this card is also an option. Use Storm of The Monarch alongside Hardened Armed Dragon to make OESD an even bigger problem for your opponent.

This card can be fun and useful. Even if you have to include Odd-Eyes Dragon in the build, you can work around that and use both to your advantage.
