Okay, Pendragon card is a little bit better than
Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon. Since you can send just
about any Dragon or Fiend monster (rather than a
specific one that's bad).
Of course, it can't send from the deck like OESD.
If only it did, this could would be great.
With a discard, you can destroy a spell/trap card
and the card becomes 3100 ATK. And unlike
OESD, this effect happens in the Main Phase (sooner
than the Battle Phase), clearing the way an effect.
Everything about this card is advantage-neutral but
it's probably a decent choice for a newer player
with a small collection (if they have the Fiends and
Dragons for it). But monsters get a lot better
than this.

D/D/D Dragon King Pendragon...these cards have
some cool lore behind them. Much in the way
many Gladiator Beasts are named after heroes and
warriors from History, these cards are named after
military commanders. This card looks like fun,
but I'm just not sold on him being good enough.
2600-2400 isn't great for a Level 7, we like
our Level 7 Monsters to be 2800 or higher.
Dark and Fiend are obviously very good together.
The Special Summon condition is neat I suppose, but
you're still Tributing two Monsters, so I'm not sure
why you'd use the effect for that. His 1-for-1
is balanced though. Discarding a card to
destroy a card on the Field of your opponent is
cool, and the 500 attack is honestly negligible, BUT
2600 to 3100 might not be so small. It only
lasts for the turn, which I don't like, but is fair
and adds a little more balance. I wouldn't
mind seeing this guy in Fiend, but I don't think he
supports Dragons well enough for them.

Hello Pojo Fans,
D/D/D Dragon King Pendragon could see some play
coming up when the new “Red-Eyes” support comes out.
Like yesterdays card, this monster can be Special
Summoned using a monster on the field and something
in your hand or side of the field. A small ATK boost
isn't much, what matters is the s/t destruction that
comes with it. 1 for 1 off the effect, you could
actually plus if the card you sent to the grave gave
you something in return (like “Burning Abyss”
monsters).
The hybrid deck to run this right now is
Dragon/Fiend, and Burning Abyss should be the
immediate selection for Fiend-Type monsters.
Hieratics are an ideal Dragon-Type choice as they
will give you something off of the tribute to
Special Summon this monster. Burning Abyss cards
will help you plus off its effect, but this effect
could be even better had it been “tribute 1 monster”
rather than “discard 1 card”. Regardless, a nifty
Chaos Build using Hieratics and Burning Abyss is
available with this monster, and you could
potentially get multiple copies of D/D/D onto the
field in a turn.
D/D/D Dragon King Pendragon is a better monster than
Odd Eyes Saber Dragon. It has potential behind it,
the ability to make a build around it right now (as
well as in the future), and easier effect
activation,
