Re-qliate
- #SECE-EN073 If a monster is Normal or Flip Summoned, and it is a Level 4 or lower monster: Negate its effects until the end of this turn. If a monster(s) is Special Summoned, and it is a Level 5 or higher monster: Negate its effects until the end of this turn, also banish it when it leaves the field. If there is no "Qli" card on the field, except "Re-qliate", send this card to the Graveyard.

So, in short, this card negates the effects of
your Qliphort monsters (which is good because it
allows them to retain their high original ATK's) and
it also negates the opponent's monster, which can be
debilitating. There was one problem.
With Skill Drain at 3, why bother to use this?
Skill Drain is more versatile, easier to use, lasts
for more than just one turn per monster, doesn't die
if there's no Qli cards on your field, and won't
banish your monsters. But now that Skill Drain
is at 1, I'll certainly be using 2 of these in my
Qliphort deck as very good alternatives.

Re-qliate...can you guess what Deck this is for?
This card seems really awesome, yet seems really
ordinary at the same time. Any Monster that is
Normal or Flip Summoned has its effect(s) negated
until the End of the turn, and if it's a Level 5 or
higher Monster, it's removed from play when it
leaves the Field. Those, in itself, aren't
terrible. They just aren't particularly good
either. This might be fun as Tech in other
Decks BUT it's destroyed if it's the only "Qli" card
on the Field. It's disruptive, just not for
long enough, and won't hit anything in the XYZ
world. Try it and see I suppose, but I think
if your playing Qli, you don't need it.

Re-qliate
At first this card seems like a replacement to Skill
Drain that Qliphort’s can easily search for whenever
they need…
But then you investigate this card further and it
goes from seeming great, to average, to bad and then
to near garbage.
For a start, if you have no other “Qli” cards on the
field other than itself it auto-destructs, meaning
that an opponent can potentially get rid of this
without requiring a card to do so.
And further, this means that you can never activate
it without their being any other “Qli” cards on the
field.
And then it gets worse, its effect is Mandatory, so
this means that optional trigger effects completely
dodge it… So the only way to stop monsters with
these effects is to Chain Re-qliate to the Summon,
in which case there are already better options with
which to Negate monsters effects. Plus, Xyz
monsters, since they don’t have a Level are also
unaffected by it.
Re-qliate does absolutely nothing to address the
loss of Skill Drain, it doesn’t even come close, but
hey, at least it is searchable… Its one redeeming
factor!
Rating: 2. There is better effect negation out there
than this.
