Nekroz Kaleidoscope
- #THSF-EN021

This card can be used to Ritual Summon any number of "Nekroz" Ritual Monsters. Tribute 1 monster from your hand or field, or send 1 monster from your Extra Deck to the Graveyard, also, after that, Ritual Summon any number of "Nekroz" monsters whose total Levels exactly equal the Level of that monster. You can only use this effect of "Nekroz Kaleidoscope" once per turn. If you control no monsters: You can banish this card and 1 "Nekroz" monster from your Graveyard; add 1 "Nekroz" Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.

Seeing as we looked at a variety of Nekroz Ritual Monsters, it makes sense to cover some of the other cards.  Like ones used to summon them.  Kaleidoscope is a card for just that purpose.  Tribute a Monster from your Hand or Field, or send a Monster from your Extra Deck to the Graveyard, after which you're allowed to Special Summon any number of Ritual Nekroz Monsters equal to (exactly) the Level of the chosen discarded/tributed Monster.  Anyway, so send something high, very high, and swarm with some low level Nekroz, or go big for a heavy hitter.  This thing is very versatile and very good.  Only one of these can be used per turn, but you can also remove this card and a Nekroz Monster from your Graveyard to add a Nekroz Magic card from your Deck to your Hand.  If you control no Monsters.

Hello Pojo Fans,

Nekroz Week is here, and with it comes one of the more hyped decks of the new format. Thanks to The Secret Forces, Ritual Monsters have made a comeback in the form of this archetype, and to start off the week is one of their powerful spells: Nekroz Kaleidoscope.

Another way to Ritual Summon a “Nekroz”,  Kaleidoscope can Ritual Summon ANY number of “Nekroz” Ritual Monsters. The flexibility to use a monster from your hand or field as a tribute, or send an Extra Deck monster that has stars to the graveyard to Ritual Summon gives you a better chance at having the resources to summon your Nekroz monsters. Match the stars on the tributed/sent monster to your “Nekroz” monsters, easy enough. Standard restriction to once per turn and the ability to search a different Ritual Spell for the archetype by banishing this spell in your graveyard if you don't have a monster.

The higher level the monster, the more potential for multiple summons you have. The popular play right now is sending Quasar to the grave and dropping 2 Brionac, then after their effects go off, go into Inzektor Exa-Beetle, equip Quasar to Beetle, and be set up for a Shooting Star Dragon later. You can send a “Nekroz” monster from your field or hand to bring out other “Nekroz” monsters, but you are likely going to be using Kaleidoscope to send a monster from your Extra Deck to the grave. With the range of levels to use in the “Nekroz” archetype, the choices are available to get at least two monsters per Kaleidoscope use.

A flexible spell for the Nekroz deck, it is just below Cycle as the best Ritual Spell they have.

Nekroz Kaleidoscope is one of three Nekroz Ritual Spell Cards, and one of the two released in The Secret Forces. Kaleidoscope has the advantage of being able to summon more than one Nekroz monster at a time, but has the drawback of only allowing the use of one monster that must count as the entire Tribute. However, Kaleidoscope also allows the use of monsters in the Extra Deck as fodder, helping you maintain your hand advantage.

Kaleidoscope is at its strongest in the early game, and is often used in conjunction with Herald of the Arc Light to summon Nekroz of Unicore while also searching for any Ritual Monster or Spell through Herald’s effect. Later in the game it can be used for a large push by sending a higher Level monster from the Extra Deck: common choices include Star Eater and Shooting Quasar Dragon among others. Ultimately it still also acts like any other Ritual Spell Card, so there are very few situations where it isn’t useful in some way.

Overall a very powerful card for Nekroz that pushes their early game and helps during the late game.
