Welcome to my Crossed Souls week! Sea
Dragoons of Draconia is the 000 card of the Set, and
I believe was also the sneak preview card. We
have a Level 3 Monster, who is a 7 on the Pendulum
scale, who happens to be a Water attributed Sea
Serpent. The 200 attack doesn't really do
anything but the 2100 defense is quite nice and
helpful. This is a Normal Pendulum Monster, to
the point for the uninformed, it has a Pendulum
effect, yet no Monster effect. I picked this
card to open the week mostly for art, but as you can
see by said Pendulum effect, this guy does actually
have a home in Normal Monster Decks. When a
Monster is destroyed by Battle, regardless of by
whom, you're able to Special Summon a Normal
Monster. It does have to come from your Hand,
but that's still a free Monster to your side of the
Field, and a +1 if you do this when you're
destroying an opponent's Monster. Of course,
you're only allowed to do this once per turn.
Vanilla Decks are fun, you can even put together a
decent Water Vanilla Deck if you'd like. This
card is obviously mostly for fun, but it's an asset
regardless.

With the original Dragoons of Draconia being bad,
at least this Sea version had the opportunity to
improve on it, which it does not. It's a
Pendulum ; so what, there's a number of other better
Pendulum options out there. It has no effect
as a monster.
Its Pendulum Effect is weak as well. It
requires a Normal Monster, first of all (normal
monsters aren't good). Second, it requires the
monster to be destroyed in battle (if it gets
destroyed or otherwise removed from the field by a
card effect, tough luck). Third, it only
allows you to Special Summon from your hand (not
your deck or graveyard), making this a -1 all
around. A useless -1.
