U.A. Rival Rebounder
- #CROS-EN087 You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by returning 1 "U.A." monster you control to the hand, except "U.A. Rival Rebounder". You can only Special Summon "U.A. Rival Rebounder" once per turn this way. If this card is Special Summoned during your opponent’s turn, or Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "U.A." monster from your hand or Graveyard, except "U.A. Rival Rebounder". You can only use this effect of "U.A. Rival Rebounder" once per turn.

Like Midfielder, it could bounce a UA control to
your hand (so you can re-use it when you want to) to
basically summon a 2200 beater for free. When
summoned, it can summon a monster from grave or
hand. Ideally, you want to summon from
graveyard because that's a +1 but if it's really
early game and the one you want to summon happens to
be in hand, that's still okay. It'll give you
a 2nd monster for Turnover Tactics, as well as
potential to XYZ. But you can't trigger this
effect if it was Special Summoned during your turn
so, on your turn, you have to Normal Summon it.
Using The Monarchs Stormforth can really help with
that.
Since he's a floater once you summon him and you can
just tag him out and re-use him, you only need 1 of
him (maybe 2 but certainly not 3). Overall,
pretty good though.

We switch to one of the Monsters of the U.A.
Family today in U.A. Rival Rebounder. For
those who are still unaware, the Monsters all
resemble athletes, and this here, obviously being a
basketball player. This is a Level 6, Earth
attributed Warrior, with 2200 attack and 2300
defense. Some of these Monsters are strong,
some are kinda meh statistically like this one, and
some have low attack but gigantic defense.
This card can be Special Summoned from your Hand by
returning a U.A. Monster from your Field to your
Hand. (Get use to that, we've got two weeks of U.A.
Monsters coming, and that's staple text).
You're never allowed to Special Summon the card you
return though, just be sure to remember that.
Said card is only able to be Special Summoned in
this manner once. Now if this card is Special
Summoned during your opponent's turn, or Normal
Summoned, you can Special Summon a U.A. Monster from
your Hand OR Graveyard, except this one. This
effect can only be used once a turn. These
guys are supposed to be crazy fast, and if you play
them right, they will be, and you can overwhelm your
opponent with Field Presence. Remember too,
this Deck is incredibly reliant on its ability to
Special Summon. All the Monsters have various,
quick effects, but if you come up against an
Anti-Special Summon Deck, you're very likely
crippled. I think it's a bit too early to tell
how good U.A. will be, but they have a LOT of
potential.

While U.A. Rival Rebounder may be a level 6, it
may be the monster you use to really get things
going in the U.A. deck. Special Summoning another
U.A. monster from either the hand or grave will add
another monster to be popped back to the hand in
favor of a different U.A. monster. Not only that,
but if you choose to Normal Summon Rival Rebounder
and tribute a U.A., you can revive the monster you
just tributed. Combine this with U.A. Stadium or
U.A. Turnover Tactics to further advance your
position on the field. Normal Summon on your turn
with Stadium on the field to add another U.A. to
your hand, or use Turnover Tactics on your opponents
turn to give your monsters a 500ATK boost. U.A.
Signing Deal can set up your tribute to Normal
Summon Rival Rebounder, then you can get the U.A.
monster back and it will have its effect(s) as well
(minus whatever it costs you in LP from Signing
Deal). It doesn't need to be Normal Summoned using a
specific monster, so use cards like The Monarch
Stormforth to get clear out your opponents monsters.
It's not the strongest of the U.A. monsters, but it
may be the most useful in terms of constructing an
offensive attack for you.
