Blazing Mirror Force
- #DOCS-EN076

It's like the original Mirror Force and Ring of Destruction put together.  This could easily deal 1000-3000 damage depending on how much the opponent is swarming.  In vein with Ring's errata, you take the damage first.  In the event of both players having low life points, you would lose the duel.  If you have higher life points than the opponent, you can win by attrition.  I guess this is what they would call a win-more card, but it can effectively shut an opponent out before they can recover.  It's risky in the sense that it's non-chainable and useless if your life points are too low.  Most of the time, it's going to play like a regular Mirror Force, which is a good but (in today's meta) unspectacular effect.

As promised, you get a twofer today to end the week, and the first card is a Trap, in Blazing Mirror Force.  We're starting to pile up the Mirror Force variants, no?  So you get attacked, destroy as many attack position Monsters your opponent controls as possible, we've heard that before.  But in addition, you take Damage equal to half the combined total attack of the Monsters you destroyed with this card.  Then, your opponent takes Damage equal to the Damage you took.  That makes this card fun, BUT

The Damage doesn't happen simultaneously, they happen successively.   I suppose this could be a really bizarre way to end a game.  I thikn you get and keep one for the art for your collection, but there is a great army of better and more viable cards avialable, interesting as this one is.

Hello Pojo Fans,

Blazing Mirror Force has a double-edged style of effect, however it can be even better than its previous versions. Mass destruction of attack mode monsters is always good, it's what “Mirror Force” typically does. Then the errata Ring of Destruction effect kicks in, doing damage to you, then your opponent for half the combined ATK of every monster destroyed. This won't hurt you as much as long as you have more LP than your opponent. Not only that, but if they know you are playing Blazing Mirror Force they may be less inclined to attack if their life points are low.

If you have ways to gain back your Life Points, this cards “drawback” won't be a problem. This card may be better than Mirror Force as it not only stops your opponents monsters and destroys them, but also can be a game-finishing card after the damage is dealt. While it is useless if your Life Points are so low that using it would cause defeat, those situations are slim.

Blazing Mirror Force is a Normal Trap Card. Ok that's it. Happy Thanksgiving! Seriously, it's really a choice between original and Storming. Why? Blazing Mirror Force does what original does except you take damage equal to half the combined original attacks of everything your opponent had on the field, and then the opponent takes the same damage. I like that it doesn't target anything, but it is easier to negate because Performage Damage Juggler is being run at 3 in many competitive decks. Ring of Destruction is chainable, but runs up against the same problem. So for my money, Storming Mirror Force is the better option.

Score: 2.5/5 I like the new theme of traps, just not this one so much.

Aw, man. I want to like this card. I really, really do. It's artwork is fantastic! But this effect is way, way, WAY less beneficial than the original Mirror Force. Yes, you're killing your opponent's ATK position monsters, and yes he's also getting burned for damage. But so are you, and that is never a good thing! Unless you have a card that can counter your own Burn effect, this is just not worth trying out. I'm sorry, but there are better “kill all attackers” cards out there.

Final Score: 2 / 5
