Shuffle Reborn
- #DOCS-EN053 If you control no monsters: Target 1 monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it, but its effects are negated, also banish it during the End Phase. You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 card you control; shuffle it into the Deck, then draw 1 card, also during the End Phase of this turn, banish 1 card from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Shuffle Reborn" once per turn.

I would look at each effect separately because
the 2nd is purely optional. It's a Spell Card
that summons a monster from the graveyard, which,
Soul Charge aside, there's a dearth of. While
the effects of the monster are negated (a big but
necessary downside), you need to control no monsters
(not a big problem) and is banished during the End
Phase (who cares), there's still a lot you can do
with it. You can tribute it, attack with it
(push for more damage or get over an opponent's
beater), use it for Synchro/XYZ plays, destroy it
for its graveyard effect. Considering a lot of
the other downsides it could have had (like costing
you in card advantage), it's not so bad. And
since there's no requirements for what kind of
monster it needs to be, it can work in different
decks.
The 2nd effect isn't quite revenue neutral but can
still be made beneficial. If you have a
floater Spell/Trap on the field (a card like
Fiendish Chain), you can recycle it and essentially
get a fresh card, while having to banish the worst
card in your hand. The 2nd effect isn't as
good but it's a nice bonus. While all of the
little downsides (such as it being reliant on what's
in your graveyard) add up, there are some risks, but
when all's said and done, I see potential.

Review Part Deux is
Shuffle Reborn. I feel this would be a lot
more viable as a Quickplay, but it still has some
merit to it. If you control no Monsters,
you're able to Target and Special Summon one from
your Graveyard. Said Monsters has effects
negated and is removed from pay during the End
Phase. Additionally, you can remove this card
from your Graveyard from play, to target a card you
control to return (shuffled too note) to the Deck,
to Draw a card from your Deck. If you plan on
doing this while it resides in the Graveyard, you
can always set a Magic/Trap card you might not need
so you don't lose anything of value doing this.
Also, during the End Phase, you remove a card from
your Hand from play. You choose, so it's cool
you wouldn't randomly lose something you wouldn't
want to. I do honestly like this, but I see it
mroe Tech than an actual staple.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Shuffle Reborn isn't like “Monster Reborn” but any
card capable of bringing a monster back for you is
worth considering. Restricted activation prevents
abuse of the card, but you will encounter plenty of
times where you don't have a monster, so no problem
there. A “vanilla” monster is still a monster that
can attack, defend, sync, and overlay, the last two
help avoid the banish effect during your End Phase.
Useful in the grave to shuffle back a card on the
field to give you a new draw, good for recycling a
monster, spell, trap that may not be of use. Cycle
back an Xyz without materials for future use. Again
a banish effect in the End Phase can be avoided by
setting everything in your hand.
Shuffle Reborn isn't better than “Soul Charge”, but
it is a good card that could prove very useful to
almost any deck. If your deck freely banishes and
returns cards from being banished, this card is for
you.

Shuffle Reborn is a Normal
Spell Card with 2 effects. The first effect is to
Special Summon a monster from your Graveyard in any
face-up position with effects negated and only if
you control no monsters. Then that monster gets
banished during the End Phase, which should be no
problem because you are using that monster to
fusion, xyz, synchro, or tribute summon. So my
comparison will be with Norden plus Instant Fusion.
Instant Fusion costs 1000 Life Points to get Norden
who also pulls effectless monsters that are Level 4
and lower from the Graveyard. That makes for very
easy follow-up combos, but costs 1000 Life Points.
So, when Instant Fusion or Norden get hit with the
Banhammer, try Shuffle Reborn.
The second effect is a bit
risky and only available once per turn. You can
banish Shuffle Reborn from the Graveyard to shuffle
one card from your hand into the deck and draw 1
card. Then you banish a card from your hand during
the End Phase. Both effects are neutral in card
advantage unless you have no cards in your hand for
the second effect. The first effect is what you're
really using this card for, while the second effect
just makes sense for the name of the card.
Score: 4/5 We can run 3 of
these? I know what I'm thankful for.
Art: 4/5 Those cards need to be
shuffled.

Hoo,
this is a tricky one. Let's go over the effects one
at a time:
1.
If you control no monsters, Special Summon a monster from the
Grave. Its effects are negated, and you must Banish
it at the end of the turn.
This
could be a game-breaker right here, especially if
you have something big in the Grave like a Blue-Eyes
or........ Hey, don't look at me like that!
Blue-Eyes is still a powerful and versatile card!
Anyway, my point is: late game, this could be
useful.
2.
Banish this card from the Graveyard; target 1 card you control,
shuffle it into the Deck, then draw 1 card.
Okay,
not a big fan of this effect. The only good thing I
see is that it gives you a bit of draw power, but it
comes at the cost of either a monster or a
Spell/Trap that may have saved you this turn. If you
haven't guessed by now, I'm not a big fan of taking
risks.
3.
Also (same turn as the 2nd effect),
at the End Phase, Banish one card in your hand.
No. No,
no, no, I'm sorry but NO. This is a terrible effect,
unless you're running Return from the Different
Dimension or another strategy that benefits from
Banished cards. Why sacrifice two cards- one to the
Deck and one out of play- just to draw 1 card? As I
see it, the cost outweighs the benefitts. There has
to be better options out there, there just has to
be!
If I'm
overlooking something, then I apologize; but looking
at this card as is, it just looks too situational
and too risky for the casual player. Did I mention
that I'm not a big fan of risks?
Also,
Blue-Eyes is best dragon. Don't judge me.
Final Score: 2 / 5 (And on that note, Happy
Thanksgiving!)
