Infernoid Patrulea
- #OP01-EN005

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 "Infernoid" monster from your hand or Graveyard while the total Levels and Ranks of all Effect Monsters you control are 8 or lower, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn: You can target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy it. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. Once per turn, during your opponent's turn: You can Tribute 1 monster, then target 1 card in your opponent's Graveyard; banish it (this is a Quick Effect).

Infernoids are an annoying Rogue deck that likes to appear when people least expect them. Infernoid Patrulea is a Level 4 Fire Fiend-type monster with 1800 Atk and 0 Def. Being Level 4 is always good, but in this case it's a little better because Infernoids need to have low level monsters on the field to Special Summon themselves. Fiend gives the deck some interesting support that they don't really use or need. 1800 Atk is good, but 0 Def is bad. A mixed bag of stats.

The first effect of almost all the Infernoids is that they Must be Special Summoned by their specific method while the combined Level and Ranks of all monsters you control are 8 or less. Patrulea must Banish 1 Infernoid monster from your Hand or Graveyard to Special Summon this one from your Hand. The cannot be Normal Summoned, Set, or Special Summoned by other ways sucks. The useful effect is to target and destroy a Spell or Trap on the field once per turn. But then it can't attack. The final effect only activates once during each opponent's turn. You can tribute one monster to target one card in your opponent's grave for banishment. That's cute. At least it's a Quick Effect. I believe it can also tribute itself for the cost of this effect. There are too many restrictions on Patrulea and Infernoids in general to be very good.

Score: 2.5/5 Infernoids got hit when Reasoning got hit.
Art: 3/5 Too similar to the water giga monsters.
