Left Arm Offering
You could read my review of yesterday’s card, and
get basically the same idea. Is there a spell card
right now that is worth sacrificing at least 2 cards
in hand while forgoing the privilege to set spells
or traps? No. Could there be one day, making this
card possibly broken? We’ll only know once it gets
here.
No deck that I know of outside of OTK’s makes use of
this today (ironically, they use it to get cards
like yesterday’s COTD). But it has a number of
favorable characteristics to consider. Unless Card
of Demise, you can both special summon and inflict
damage on the opponent during the turn you use it.
You’re not restricted from using any spell, trap or
monster effects, and you can even use multiples of
this spell in a turn.
Should a theme come along that can plus off of
banishing cards and has a truly critical spell card
in its arsenal, well this would appear to be the
perfect card to help it along. And I honestly
believe pendulums make this card look even better,
since you can do even more things without having to
set spell and trap cards.
Not a good card… yet?

Left Arm Offering
This is not a general use card. Most decks in most
situations will not afford to -2 (on top of an
effective hand restriction) just to get a spell. If
the most powerful spell in your deck is just Raigeki,
or something, don't bother. I can however, see this
card very effective. It might work in an OTK or a
very combo specific deck. The thing that kills this
card is not being able to set, so if you have 4
cards in hand, you may very well have to discard
them all (or wait to use this card at some other
time. I understand why they wanted to nerf this
card, but they nerfed it a bit too hard.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Searching out a spell from your deck can be a
game-breaking effect, but when it costs hand
advantage it may not be worth it. That is the truth
when talking about Left Arm Offering.
Banishing your entire hand (when 2 or more cards
other than this card) to search out your choice of
spell may be too much for that one spell. Also, you
cannot set s/t cards when you activate Left Arm
Offering, so you have to set your cards the turn
before. The best case scenario for this card is used
in a deck that revolves around removing cards or
gaining pluses off removal. You are losing this
card, then 2 more, to search 1, leaving you at a -2.
D.D. Cards and spells that benefit from removal like
Chaos End and Primal Seed can help this card out,
but as a card to get you another card, there are
better ones.

I'm mad. Let me tell you why. Left Arm Offering,
the Normal Spell that reeks of desperation has the
wrong name. Look at the person who is about to pay
the price for stealing. That arm that's about to be
chopped off. Guess what. That's the Right Arm! Just
because it's on the left side of the card doesn't
mean it's the left arm. I'm disappointed with
whoever read the name and effect and decided to draw
this image.
I wouldn't give my right arm for any Spell in my
deck. I also wouldn't give up setting any Spells or
Traps for the whole turn. I wouldn't give up at
least 3 cards (offering itself, and at least 2
banished) to pay for 1 Spell. I wouldn't risk having
that Spell negated and being very down in hand
advantage. If you're already that desperate then
you're probably losing and one Spell won't be
enough. Then they chain Anti-Spell Fragrance and you
cry into the void where your arm used to be.
Score: 2/5 2 for the number of times you use this
before you run out of arms.
Art: 1/5 So mad.
