Super Hippo Carnival
- #TDIL-EN053 Special Summon 1 "Performapal Hip Hippo" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard, then you can Special Summon as many "Hippo Tokens" (Beast-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) as possible, but they cannot be Tributed, and monsters your opponent controls cannot target monsters for attacks for the rest of this turn, except "Hippo Tokens". You cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck while a "Hippo Token" is in a Monster Zone.

Super Hippo Carnival
Remember Ben-Kei decks? Well they got an upgrade
with this card. Now people who read my reviews know
I’m super anti-OTK, but I acknowledge this spell
card’s power. With the ability to summon five beast
type monsters instantly comes the inevitable deck
that abuses equip cards and Wild Nature’s Release
for a quick kill that boosts one of the monsters to
upwards of 30,000 ATK. Since the tokens and Hippo
aren’t restricted from attacking like Scapegoat
tokens, this quickplay spell can do what the little
goaties never could, which was set up easy OTK
strikes.
Outside of the aforementioned OTK deck, Super Hippo
Carnival is too restrictive for normal play. Without
the ability to use the tokens in any way except as
shields, they will only hinder your own plays. This
card should never be used outside its own deck.

First of all Performapal Hip Hippo is a Level 3
Earth Beast-type monster with 800 Atk and 800 Def.
Super Hippo Carnival is QuickPlay Spell Card that
Special Summons Performapal Hip Hippo from the hand,
deck, or grave. Hip Hippo won't get its effect to
allow an Extra Level 7 or higher Tribute Summon.
However, Super Hippo Carnival is a very easy way to
get a quick monster to the field for free and with
no drawbacks. Emergency Teleport is more versatile,
but this could be interesting side tech.
There is more to Super Hippo Carnival. After
Performapal Hip Hippo is Special Summoned, it can
also Special Summon as many tokens as possible to
the field. Those tokens can't be tributed and can't
be material for any Extra Deck Summons. They
completely lock out Extra Deck Summons while they
are in a Monster Card Zone. Their only redeeming
quality is they are the only monsters that can be
targeted for an attack. Super Hippo Carnival scores
well because it can be a combo extender with just
Performapal Hip Hippo or an excellent defense card
with the tokens.
Score: 4/5 Happy Friday!

Super Hippo Carnival...it's Friday, why not end
the week with a carnival? So this is a
Quickplay Magic card, which is the best type of
Magic card. You're able to Special Summon a
Performapal Hip Hippo from your Hand, Deck, or
Graveyard, and then as many Hippo Tokens as
possible. They have 0 attack and defense, but
you can Summon them in attack or defense position.
I'm assuming defense, and this is supposed to be
used as a defensive maneuver being a Quickplay.
Said tokens cannot be tributed, and your opponent
can only attack your hippo tokens for the rest of
the current turn. You can't Special Summon
Monsters from your Extra Deck while you control a
Hippo Token either. That seems unnecessary.
I mean sure, this card could be useful in a pinch to
protect other cards I guess or something, but since
you can't Tribute the Tokens, yet you could use them
for Synchro, why not just say you can't, since the
Monster can't come from the Extra Deck.
There's still potential I suppose for a Summon from
the Graveyard. I hate when the worst card of
the week is on Friday. But I digress
