PSY-Frame Circuit
- #HSRD-EN036If a "PSY-Frame" monster(s) is Special Summoned to your side of the field (except during the Damage Step), you can: Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 Synchro Monster, using only "PSY-Frame" monsters you control. At the start of the Damage Step, if a "PSY-Frame" monster you control battles an opponent's monster: You can discard 1 "PSY-Frame" monster; your battling monster gains ATK equal to the discarded monster's ATK until the end of this turn.

Hello Pojo Fans,
PSY-Frame Circuit is the final part of the PSY-Frame
strategy to dominate the field. All “PSY-Frame”
monsters Special Summon themselves in various ways,
and Special Summon a “PSY-Frame Driver” along with
their Special Summon. Each “PSY-Frame” effect
monster also has an effect upon being Special
Summoning in their own specific way. Circuit now
adds a auto-Synchro option for PSY-Frames, as well
as a Kalut effect when you attack.
“PSY - Frame” monsters are weak on their own, and
PSY- Driver is a vanilla, but they combine for
various levels of Synchro summons. Circuit
facilitates this, leaving you with advantages
brought by the “PSY-Frame” effect monsters, as well
as field advantage with a bigger, more useful
monster. PSY-Frame Driver can also be discarded
during your turn to boost your weaker “PSY-Frame”
monsters, or to add even more ATK to Zeta or Omega.
While the Kalut-like effect is a nice option, the
ability to go directly into Zeta, Omega, or ANY
synchro you want during either turn is much more
useful. There is also no limit to the number of
times you can do this per turn...even better.

Since the year is zooming by, it's time to look
at something fun and something fast. PSY-Frame
Circuit is fast, especially for a Field Spell Card.
The deck revolves around Synchro Summoning and
having your side of the field empty of monsters. The
main deck tuners all activate during your opponent's
turn in the hand and summon the driver only to be
banished at the opponent's end phase. With Circuit
on the field, you can immediately Synchro Summon
with the newly summoned Gear tuner and Driver
instead of them being banished. That's huge. Being
able to get any generic Level 7 or 8 generic Synchro
Monster on your opponent's turn is super sweet. I
especially like using Black Rose Dragon after my
opponent has set up their side so well. It's not
once per turn, so if you get the PSY-Framelords,
they have effects that get them off the field to
come back during your turn. Then you can use the
same Gear again or any other Gear in your Hand to
negate something and Synchro Summon again before the
Lords return.
I even enjoy the second effect of this card. This
effect of Circuit is a themed Honest. If you have a
PSY-Frame monster, you can discard it while there is
a PSY-Frame monster battling an opponent's monster
and your monster gains the discarded monster's Atk.
The driver has the highest attack and is just as
useful in the Hand as in the Graveyard, so you
should definitely be using the second effect for an
extra 2500 damage. The effect lasts until the end of
the turn and can be used during either player's
turn. Again, this effect is not once per turn
either, so you can use it on the same monster if it
is somehow attacking twice or being attacked twice.
There are some things wrong with PSY-Frame Circuit.
Field Spells are inherently bad, and Circuit is a
Field Spell. Some of the newer Field Spells have
some sort of built in protection, but this one does
not. This also does nothing for you in the
Graveyard. You still need to run three of these in a
PSY-Frame deck, but not having it in your Hand makes
the deck as a whole inconsistent. Finally, the deck
has many necessary cards, which makes it hard to
combine with other decks or engines.
Score: 2.5/5 I hope we get another track in the
future.

Card: PSY-Frame Circuit
Whew! I've dusted off all the singes from last
week's review just in time for a new themed week:
PSY-Frame! We start with one of the deck's core
Spell cards, PSY-Frame Circuit, which comes with two
effects:
1. If a PSY-Frame Monster is special summoned to
your field outside of the Damage step, then once
this card resolves, you get to Synchro Summon using
two or more PSY-Frame monsters you control. Sounds
difficult to pull off, except PSY-Frames are all
about banishing and un-banishing each other, so it's
not all that hard to do with the right synergy.
2. Essentially, this is the PSY-Frame version of
Honest; during the Damage Step of a battle, discard
one PSY-Frame monster and your battling Psy-Frame
gains the discarded monster's ATK.
I definitely see potential here, because there are
lots of Psychic support cards, most notably Silent
Psychic Wizard, Serene Psychic Witch, and Psychic
Feel Zone just to name a few. If hand disruption
coupled by fast special summoning is your cup of
tea, then get ready because PSY-Frames are serving
up one big, hot, steaming bowl of it.
......Did that make any sense? I dunno, it's late
and I'm still recovering from that Exodia attack.
Score: 5/5 (PSY-Frame deck, but this should go
without saying)
