Kozmo Landwalker
A good one-of card. That’s what Landwalker is and
always will be. He’s rarely preferred to mid-range
monsters like Sliprider and Dark Lady, but he’s
usually included because he’s a better level 6
option than DOG, and for its ability to protect a
full lineup. He shields the field from Raigeki, Dark
Hole, Mirror Force and the like as long as you’ve
got a Kozmotown up and running (or some other Kozmo
spell/trap card), but he’s probably not going to use
his effect a whole lot.
This makes him a beater for the most part. But a
better beater than DOG Fighter as I said before, and
a necessary inclusion as a link level 6 for the most
efficient deck that has at least one of each level.
However, I won’t fault a Kozmo player for not
bothering. Going from Forerunner straight to Dark
Lady or Sliprider is by no means a cardinal sin.

Good stats. Replaces itself with a another
Kozmo, so it floats. It's effect protects
itself and other Kozmo monsters you have, which can
be used defensively to maintain your field presence
or offensively to protect your monsters from Trap
Cards during your Battle Phase.
It does require you to destroy a card you control
in order to activate it, which can make it sometimes
situational, but it's a cost that can also benefit
the deck. You can destroy Kozmotown to get a
search and effectively make it free.
You can also destroy another big Machine-type Kozmo
monster you control to trigger it's effect to
Special Summon another Kozmo. For example, you
can destroy Forerunner to get out Sliprider and then
instantly destroy a Spell/Trap card.
You don't need more than 1 of this card since it's
not the most versatile card (and it's kind of slow
since it doesn't have a Main Phase effect), but
every Kozmo deck should be running 1 of these
nonetheless. It's very good support for the
deck.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Kozmo Landwalker is one of the few Kozmo monsters I
don't see finding its way into the standard deck
list.
Standard Kozmo Machine-Type effect with trading out,
this one being Level 5 or lower, but its other
effect that is supposed to be its make or break is a
break. Protect one Kozmo card from destruction by
trading it with another. While you could destroy
something else and trigger its banishing effect to
Special Summon a different Kozmo monster, or protect
Kozmotown from various destruction effects, I don't
see this card being worth the trouble. If you could
destroy a Kozmo card in your hand that would be much
better, it'd be like having another Fire King
Island.
There's better Kozmos to use to get what you want.

Does everyone remember Jinzo? Kozmo Landwalker
has the same stats minus 300 Def. It's a Level 6
Dark Machine-type monster with 2400 Atk and 1200
Def. I wonder if Jinzo would be good in Kozmos.
Landwalker is good to run at least a few of because
it can crash into many other 2400 Atk monsters, and
it has decent effects.
Kozmo ships have the same effect of when destroyed
and sent to the grave, it can banish itself to
Special Summon a lower Level Kozmo from the Deck, in
this case Level 5 or lower. The toolbox for Kozmos
continues. There are a lot of good options to
Special Summon. In particular, Sliprider comes to
mind, or maybe Farmgirl would work. Anyway, the
first effect of Landwalker and only Landwalker is to
destroy any 1 Kozmo monster instead of any other
Kozmo monster or monsters. So if Mirror Force is
about to destroy all the Kozmo monsters, Landwalker
can redirect that destruction to just 1 Kozmo
monster, including itself. Any ship would get its
effect in the grave once destroyed by Landwalker's
effect. It also protects Kozmos from battle
destruction. The best part about Landwalker is that
none of its effects are once per turn. If you have
enough Kozmos on the field, you can keep destroying
them one by one with Landwalker's effect instead of
with an opponent's effect. This card screams balance
for a deck that has always seemed overpowered.
Regardless of the future banlists, Kozmo Landwalker
will keep Kozmos safe.
Score: 3.5/5 Strong monster for a strong deck.
Art: 4/5 I love the story Kozmo art tells.
