Relinkuriboh
I have to believe eventually the many, many Kuriboh
versions will be tied together into their own theme.
I really don’t understand why they keep making them,
unless Konami think it’s fan service, in which case
they’re failing. Outside of Kuribandit, none of them
have seen real competitive play. And players don’t
care about fan service in the end if the cards can’t
be used. Even Dark Magician Girl gets forgotten over
long periods of time. However, the upcoming
Kuribohrn gives me hope that they are finally
thinking about tying all the variants into a real
theme.
Relinkuriboh isn’t the worst of the Kuribohs. But I
really can’t imagine a deck where you would include
him just to set and then later tribute him for the
draw. And unfortunately his second effect only
protects from battle, which is a real bummer,
because he might have been truly useful if he
protected all destruction. It’s times like these
that makes me wish Konami would also errata cards to
make them good, instead of to just take them off the
ban list. Imagine if Multiply and Flute of Summoning
Kuriboh could work on any of the variants! But alas,
they don’t and this monster isn’t very good.

Its Necro Gardna lite and replaces itself when
tributed. It does take up a Summon and will
detract from your field presence even if it does
float. Toons that Special Summon with tributes
can use this. Kuriboh decks perhaps.
Situational card though. Has some utility but
wouldve been much better had it been out in the
TER-Metamorphosis era.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Another cute fuzz ball to add to the ever-growing
Kuriboh family: Relinkuriboh
Simple effects. Tribute this card in some way to
draw a card. This is a good effect, as it can work
with effect as well as costs of all cards. Banishing
to prevent a destruction by battle for any of your
monsters is also a handy effect. You can also
tribute this card from your hand for effects and get
a draw. After Relinkuriboh hits the grave from being
tributed in some form, you are set up for stopping
one attack to a monster of yours. It won't save you
from direct attacks like Necro Gardna, but Necro
never netted you a draw off of a tribute.
You likely don't have a spot in your deck for this
card, but in fun decks that tribute a lot could test
this card out.

Here's one of the Kuribohs that we haven't
reviewed. Relinkuriboh is a Level 1 Dark Fiend-type
monster with 300 Atk and 200 Def. There isn't much
to say about these stats. They match other Kuriboh
stats. If it had Squire stats, Monarch deck players
would be all over this card. As it stands, the
effect upon tributing might be enough for this card
to see play.
Relinkuriboh has 2 effects. The first is to draw 1
card when it's tributed for anything. This could be
Tribute Summon, cost for an effect, or Ritual Summon
from the Deck. Or another reason that cards get
tributed, if you get to tribute it, you get a card.
The best part of this is the lack of restrictions.
If you somehow manage to tribute all three copies,
you get to draw 3 cards. The second effect activates
in the grave when any of your monsters are about to
be destroyed by battle. Just banish Relinkuriboh
from your grave, and your monster can't be destroyed
by that battle. Again, no restrictions here. If you
have multiple of this in your grave, you can save
multiple monsters. This is the some of if not the
only support for ritual Relinquished, but I doubt
that will become a relevant deck anyway. This is an
excellent splash card if only to make Where Arf
Thou? or One for One more useful in decks.
Score: 3.5/5 Future potential abuse.
Art: 2/5 I don't quite understand the tech
elements.
