Lunalight Reincarnation Dance
Well this trap is just bonkers. Lunalights are
really unique in that they have multiple cards you
just assume no theme should ever have. They have a
spell in Lunalight Perfume that lets you summon from
the grave for no cost and doesn’t equip or stay
behind. Then, that card can be banished to search
the deck for a new monster! They have pendulum
monsters that provide outrageous advantage with no
cost. And they have this trap, which is a 2 for 1
search from the deck since it’s really not tied to
the monster you lost. A card that lets you search
for any two monsters in the theme from the deck and
puts them in hand? Imagine that in Monarchs, Burning
Abyss or Kozmos (*shudder).
And Reincarnation Dance isn’t just a one-hit wonder.
Its real power lies in its combos with Lunalight
Blue Cat, which summons a monster when destroyed,
and in the Lunalight pendulum monsters. While you
wouldn’t be able to use Dance when one of your
pendulums is hit, it would be able to be used if a
pendulum is destroyed in the monster zone, since
Dance does not need the monster to go to the grave.
I think this card has really great potential.
Lunalights will definitely get more support in the
future, making this trap better and better. Any card
that is a double deck searcher should be on the
radar of good players, especially when the
requirement is basic and the cost is nonexistent.
Watch out for this card.

As a searcher that is a trap card, it is slow.
Unlike ROTA, this won't do anything for you in the
first turn of the duel, it's a bad card to topdeck
and if you have no monsters, this card can't search.
However, the Lunalight deck already runs 3 Tenki's
to mitigate these problems.
It's not chainable to Spell/Trap destruction but on
the upside, monsters being destroyed in battle or by
either player's card effects is a common occurrence,
so there will be many ways to trigger this card.
As a reward for some of the slowness, you get to add
2 cards instead of 1. Despite the low to
moderate level of risk, this card does generate
positive advantage. At the end of the day,
every archetype needs to +1 in some way if it wants
to win duels.
And it's not just a plus 1. It's a search as
well, so you can choose to add 2 monsters that have
very good synergy in accordance to the situation you
are in. For that reason, it's an essential
card for the deck.

This one might seem like it's coming out of
nowhere. However, there might be some natural
synergy with Dark Magician and Lunalight. Then
again, it could be a huge train wreck. Either way,
Lunalight Reincarnation Dance is a good and
necessary option for Lunalight decks. It is a Normal
Trap with no cost that can only be activated once
per turn. If any of the monsters you control are
destroyed by anything, you can search your deck for
any 2 Lunalight monsters. This is a good way to gain
advantage when you lose a monster by destruction. If
Lunalights ever become too popular, it will be this
card that gets hit by the Ban/Limit Hammer. It's
good that the monsters destroyed don't have to be
your own, nor do they have to go to the grave. I
believe this even works if a token is destroyed. The
cons come up when you look at all the cards that
don't destroy that still remove your monster. You
could also end up having no monsters on your field
and this being completely useless. Lunalight
Reincarnation Dance is good themed support for an
only average theme. We'll see what happens. Have a
nice weekend!
Score: 2.5/5 If only it worked off tributes.
Art: 3/5 Not enough dancing.
