Unlike Maiden, it's first effect does not activate when attacked.  But on the upside, it can be triggered via your own cards (Wonder Wand, anyone?).  It still will need a card from you to trigger it, or else the opponent will try to attack it.  It replaces itself by searching (+1).  The secondary effect may seem counter-intuitive at first, but if you return a Blue-Eyes monster and then use this card's effect, you can search 2 Blue-Eyes again.  This is a revenue neutral effect that you may want to use in some circumstances, but it's not a strong effect either..  All in all, while it's far from perfect, it's still good support for the deck.

Priestess with Eyes of Blue is another LIGHT Tuner monster within the “Blue-Eyes” archetype that we featured on CoTD.
 
An upgraded “Maiden with Eyes of Blue”, Priestess instead sends an effect monster to the grave to add 2 “Blue-Eyes” monsters with different names to hand from the deck. You can search “Blue-Eyes White Dragon” or “Blue-Eyes Alternative Dragon”. To get the best bang for this cards first effect you'd have to run at least 2 of each, which you likely will.
 
Second effect also involves a “Blue-Eyes” monster. A one-for-one trade to get this monster back to the field by shuffling back the “Blue-Eyes” you target. Trading a 3000ATK monster for a Level 1 Tuner may not sound like a good idea, but you could target Priestess again and get back to your hand the monster you shuffled back. Additionally, “Dragon Spirit of White” is considered a “Blue-Eyes” monster, giving you more options to send back (as well as Phantom of Chaos and E-Hero Plasma).
 
Priestess has the added benefit of not going to the grave when targeted to activate one of her effects, but the idea of shuffling back your 3000ATK monster to get her back isn't as tantalizing. If you could use her second effect during either players turn it would be much better.

Priestess with Eyes of Blue is not good. She is a Level 1 Light Spellcaster-type Tuner monster with 0 Atk and 0 Def. She has all of Maiden's stats with none of Maiden's awesome effects. 
 
When Priestess is targeted for cards or effects, she makes you discard an effect monster to search 2 Blue-Eyes monsters with different names from your Deck to your Hand. Hand advantage is good, but Maiden can be targeted for battle and still get her better effect. Priestess' second effect is from the grave. If you have a Blue-Eyes monster on your side of the field, you can return it to the Deck to Special Summon Priestess from the grave. To top off the craptastic cake that she is, you can only use one effect per turn, and only once that turn. Don't bother with this one. Either effect makes you lose field presence for a not good enough effect.
