Dark Magic Inheritance
Isn’t it a shame that Upstart Goblin is at 1? Dark
Magic Inheritance doubles the search power for Dark
Magician decks if you run 3, although that’s tough
to do sometimes since the number of spell cards you
want to use in Dark Magician decks is actually quite
limited. Since you’re probably running 3 Eternal
Soul and 3 Magician’s Navigation, the squeeze on
spells becomes tight.
However, this card is still incredibly good. At the
very least you’re running a fair few spell cards,
and Magician’s Circle should come to you frequently.
Running 3 Circle, 1-2 Illusion Magic, Upstart, and
some of the standard spells should be enough to make
an Inheritance dead draw a rare event. Even so, it
does really hurt when you can’t pay the cost. I
think I like Inheritance better now that Apprentice
Illusion Magician has arrived in the OCG. The
ability to discard unwanted cards is a little more
desirable than, say, banishing them for Sacred Sword
of Seven Stars, especially since it can be any card.
Of course, Sacred Sword is possible food for
Inheritance, but I digress. Apprentice makes me less
unwilling to run multiples of Inheritance is what
I’m getting at.
I really don’t recommend forcing spells into your
Dark Magician decks to run this in triplicate. It is
absolutely crucial to maintain speed and efficiency
to get success right now, which means focusing on
Circle, Soul, and Navigation. So forcing in unneeded
Dark Holes, Eye of Timaeus, Sacred Swords or Twin
Twisters only hurts you in the end. At this point, I
would say try running 2 Inheritance and see how it
fares. That’s where I’ve decided it’s best at the
moment, but it’s up to you guys and all your
gambling ways. And what do I need to say about this
card’s future potential. You know Dark Magician will
eventually get more support, and when there are
spell cards to add, it will increase this spell
card’s potency. Enough said.

You can only activate the QuickPlay Spell card,
Dark Magic Inheritance, once per turn. And what do
you get? Any Spell or Trap from the deck to the hand
as long as it has Dark Magician or Dark Magician
Girl in the card text. The cost? You have to banish
two Spell Cards from the grave. Searching is always
good, but I want players of this deck to investigate
Quick Booster as a way of searching this or any
QuickPlay Spell from the deck to the hand. Between
this and yesterday's card, maybe Dark Magician decks
have enough methods of search to be become viable.
However, since Dark Magic Inheritance's cost is
difficult first turn, it scores slightly lower than
Magician's Rod.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Dark Magic Inheritance is another searching card for
Dark Magician, as well as his apprentice, Dark
Magician Girl. Two spells to add a DM or DMG
spell/trap from the deck may be a -1 at the start,
but with the long list of DM and DMG cards for you
to choose from, it will even itself out, especially
if it's Dark Magical Circle or Magician Navigation.
Most of the time you won't be recycling a spell in
your grave, so banishing them won't hurt you in the
long run. Banish two Allure of Darkness and get your
Dark Magical Circle or Magician Navigation.
Not sure why it was made a Quick-Play when it is
only a searching and not a search and activate
effect. Had it been such, it would be an even better
card.
