Kuribohrn
- #SDMY-EN005At the end of the Battle Phase: You can discard this card, then target 1 monster in your Graveyard that was destroyed by battle and sent there this turn; Special Summon it. When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target any number of "Kuriboh" monsters in your Graveyard; Special Summon them.

Kuribohrn
You know what really bums me out about this card?
It’s that I’ve always wanted Konami to finally tie
the Kuriboh theme together into a legitimate
archtype of its own. Then they release a card like
this that makes you think they’re actually doing it,
only to discover that it can’t use its effect to
summon all the Kuriboh variants. Just some of them.
And the ones that you can’t use are some of the best
ones! Kuribandit? Nope. Kuriphoton? Kuribon? Nope
and nope. That’s really disappointing, and I can
only hope they “Archfiend” correct it somewhere down
the road.
In the meantime, Kuribohrn is garbage until Kuriboh
and his legitimate variants get real support that
tie them together. Besides Kuribandit, none of the
variants have seen real competitive play, and they
shouldn’t. It’s a shame that Kuribohrn couldn’t
resurrect a monster that was destroyed by any means.
Then I could maybe have seen it played somewhere,
but I guess that’s the real legend of Kuriboh:
Disappointment.
Sorry, Yugi.

This card is really good in Kuriboh decks (low
tier, though) for it's mass-summoning abilities, but
it's the first effect that makes it really good.
Monster Reborn and Premature Burial are gone and
there's an absence of good revival cards. Even
Call of the Haunted isn't that amazing because its
vulnerable to removal.
You can, of course, use this during the opponent's
turn to bring back your monster and have it for next
turn (unless they use removal on it), but I also see
potential for using it on your turn, to bring back
your monster after you ram it into the opponent's.
Why would you do that? To refresh an effect
with a soft Once Per Turn clause, or to take
advantage of an effect that activates when a monster
is Summoned.
I see potential.

Hello Pojo Fans,
More Kuriboh cards are never a bad thing...though
we're still waiting for The 5 Kuriboh Brothers...we
can always dream.
Kuribohrn is a ball player that follows the trend of
Kuriboh, minus the Attribute change. Use this little
fluff ball as a way to Special Summon a monster you
lost during either turn. Bringing a monster back
during your opponents turn negates progress they've
made in reducing your resources, and if your monster
has an effect upon summoning you will be plusing or
evening out at the least. If you run more "Kuriboh"
monsters, you can Special Summon as many as you can
just by banishing this card when your opponent
attacks. The potential to Special Summon up to five
monsters just by banishing one card is fantastic,
and when the cost is a single banishment, phenominal.
There some good Kuriboh cards that you can run with
this card like Rainbow Kuriboh, Kuriboh, and Winged
Kuriboh.
On its Special Summon ability it is a good card to
experiment with.

Kuribohrn is a bad stat Kuriboh monster. It's a
Level 1 Light Fiend-type monster with 300 Atk and
200 Def. I'm glad it has two effects but the first
one should just be Call of the Haunted instead, and
the second one should just be Electromagnetic Turtle
instead. There are so many conditions on this
recursion effect that it borders on ridiculous. The
only way you get anything back is if it goes to the
grave by battle destruction during the turn you
activate Kuribohrn. It has to be the end of the
Battle Phase, so there isn't much chance of
attacking again, and you have to discard Kuribohrn.
The second effect can only activate when the
opponent declares an attack and you have Kuribohrn
in the grave to banish. You can Special Summon any
number of Kuriboh monsters. Again, too many
conditions, and Kuriboh monsters suck. Go back to
Scapegoat to block, or Battle Fader. Try Gorz again.
Anyway, I'm done. I hope some deck some along and
uses this to summon Obelisk and win consistently,
but I doubt it.
Score: 2/5 1 point per bad effect.
Art: 4/5 They're all cute.
