Solar Recharge
Happy Solar week. A fun fact about the sun. It's
actually green. Yes. Scientists have measured it and
green is the most common color of light wave on the
sun. However, the human eyes have an impairment in
fully detecting the color green when it's alongside
other colors. The human eyes have extra sensitivity
to the colors blue and red, so our brains falsely
perceive that the sun has an equal amount of red,
blue and green light waves (making it appear white-ish).
As far as the card itself, as far as Lightsworns
go, its excellent. It's very similar to Destiny Draw
as a generic draw option. However, it has its own
flavor in milling 2 cards. Combined with the milling
in other Lightsworn support cards, it adds lots of
speed, deck-thinning and graveyard power. It dumps
the Lightsworns you don't need, fuels Judgment
Dragon, sets the graveyard up for Lumina and it's
draw power. Alongside the versatile monster effects
and the also great spell card (Charge of the Light
Bridge), Solar Recharge has made Lightsworns a
reliable engine.

Welcome to Solar Eclipse week... it might sound
like a strange theme, but the US is about to have a
Solar Eclipse for the first time in a long time on
August 21st, so we are celebrating. This whole week
is a throwback, and the first card we look back at
is Solar Recharge.
Solar Recharge allows you to discard a Lightsworn
monster to draw two cards and send the top two cards
from your deck to the GY. Two great things for the
Lightsworn deck, getting monsters in the grave for
Lumina or Judgment Dragon, milling, and drawing
cards. Drawing cards is always great, duh. Milling
is what Lightsworns do, and getting names in the GY
is very important to the deck.
This is a great draw card for Lightsworns, also
with the fact that they can now use Allure of
Darkness with Twilightsworns. This is a must if you
are playing a Lightsworn deck.
