Hello Pojo Fans,
Hope you got to enjoy the Solar Eclipse, if not,
there's another one in 7 years. Anyways, today's
CoTD is the handy hand trap-like monster, Zoodiac
Whiptail.
Whiptail has decent ATK, the support of Zoodiac and
EARTH-based support behind it (Giant Rat search
target), as well as Beast-Warrior support like Horn
of The Phantom Beast. As a Hand Trap, Whiptail
attaches to a Beast-Warrior Xyz as a material and
empowers that monster with a banish after defeat in
battle.
Banishing most monsters destroyed in battle is a
good effect. It gets rid of resources and keeps the
graveyard from gaining monsters. Flexible to work
with any Beast-Warrior Xyz, Whiptail can be played
in Bujin, Zoodiac, and Fire Fists. Whenever a
monster can be played in three different archetypes
without interrupting their strategy, the card is
good. In Zoodiac it will also lend its ATK to the
Zoodiac Xyz, in the other mentioned archetypes it
will add another material and the ability to banish,
both handy.

So six months ago Zoodiac Whiptail got the review
treatment to the tune of 3.75 out of 5. Still
worthy. The combo of this and the rat makes it a
very simple engine to run while the ban list keeps
looming but not doing anything. Zoodiac Whiptail is
a Level 4 Earth Beast-Warrior type monster with 1200
Atk and 400 Def. Any Beast-Warrior type XYZ Monster
with this as material gets to banish monsters it
battles whether it destroys them or not. Its first
effect allows it to attach itself as material to
your targeted Beast-Warrior type monster during
either player's turn from the hand or the field.
This would grant the banishing effect and act like a
banishing Honest without the attack boost for
Beast-Warrior XYZ monsters. As a monster with low
stats, Zoodiac Whiptail is ok, but as a searchable
Zoodiac with a good effect, it certainly jumps up in
score.

Zoodiac Whiptail:
Welcome back to another week, we took a break on
Monday for viewing the Solar Eclipse, but we have
returned! This week, we will be looking at some OTS
Pack 5 reprints that we have never reviewed. The
first one is part of everyone's favorite deck,
Zoodiac, and is a staple in the deck besides Ratpier,
the second best Zoodiac monster is Zoodiac Whiptail.
Whiptail allows you to target a Beast-Warrior XYZ
Monster you control and attach this card from your
hand or field to that XYZ Monster as material. To be
able to get more XYZ Materials on powerful XYZ
Monsters like Zoodiac Drident and Zoodiac Broadbull
is outstanding, plus those Zoodiac XYZs and the
others will gain 1200 ATK thanks to Whiptail being
under it. Not only that, but when a XYZ Monster with
an original type of Beast-Warrior battles, the
monster it battled is banished after the damage
calculation. Cause Zoodiac wasn't broken enough, we
had to be able to out floaters as well. Banished
cards can be hard to get back for most decks, as
well as the fact that most decks rely on the GY,
yeah you should play three of this in Zoodiac decks.

Welcome back everyone. After yesterday's hiatus
so everyone could enjoy the eclipse, we're taking a
look at some OTS5 cards and we're starting things
off with Zoodiac Whiptail.
Whiptail is a level 4 earth beast-warrior, with 1200
attack and 0 defence. He enjoys the standard
benefits of being beast-warrior and also part of the
Zoodiac archetype. Recently, Whiptail has become a
more staple card of the Zoodiac engine in many of
its hybrids due to the effects it grants a
Beast-Warrior Xyz.
Whiptail has a simple effect, during either players
turn, you can attach him to any Xyz who is
originally a Beast-Warrior, from either your hand or
your field. Then if that monster battles another
monster, you can banish the opponent's monster after
damage calculation.
The sneaky thing, is that as a Zoodiac monster, you
can equip it to a Zoodiac Xyz during the damage
step, as it would give that Xyz an attack boost.
Advanced 3/5 It's become more used and versatile,
finding its way into the Zoodiac "engine" that many
decks are utilising now.

We took yesterday off, as we were blinded by the
eclipse, which I hope you got to see, wherever you
are. But the week now opens with Zoodiac
Whiptail. On his own, this card isn't that
impressive, being a Level 4 with only 1200 attack.
But it's effect more or less makes it a Union
Monster. As a Quick Effect, you can add this
card as XYZ Material from your Hand or while on the
Field, to an XYZ Monster of the Beast-Warrior type,
by targeting that Monster. Said Monster then
gains the effect of removing from play a Monster it
is involved in Battle with. After Damage
Calculation, that is. I do like that you still
get to apply Damage before the removal, but this
card overall is just meh. It would definitely
score higher if it did more, or anything, on it's
own.
