Rescue Ferret
- #COTD-EN029
You can shuffle this card you control into the Deck; Special Summon monster(s) from your Deck, except "Rescue Ferret", whose total Levels equal 6, to your zone(s) a Link Monster(s) points to, but those Summoned monsters have their effects negated, also destroy them during the End Phase. You can only use this effect of "Rescue Ferret" once per turn.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Rescue Ferret is a new monster for the “Rescue”
archetype, but this one might be a little better
than the rest. Searchable in a few ways, this little
guy shuffles back into the deck instead of going to
the grave. The level of the monsters searched has to
total up to six which gives you some variety for
what you can choose from, but any effects are
negated. Destroyed as usual during the End Phase
will still activate any grave effects the monsters
chosen may have, such as Burning Abyss, Yang Zing,
and Shaddolls. The only catch with Rescue Ferret is
that you have to Special Summon the monsters to
zones being pointed to by a Link Monster of yours.
If you have one arrow available, you get one
monster, if you have three, you can get three (as
long as you make Level 6 with them). Needing a Link
Monster and the arrows available is something Rescue
Cat and Rescue Rabbit never needed. You could get a
Link 3 from the monsters you search, but most likely
a Link 2. You can also use the monsters for anything
you want, no restrictions apply aside from
their effect negation.
The only think holding Rescue Ferret back is the
need to have a Link Monster with arrows available
for Ferrets monster(s). Aside from that, this is a
great card.

Rescue Ferret is going to have unlimited
potential. It's a Level 4 Earth Beast-type monster
with 300 Atk and 100 Def. The newest Rescue Critter
shuffles itself back into the deck to let you
Special Summon monsters from the deck to empty
linked zones on your side. The monster or monsters
must have levels that add to equal 6. There are no
restrictions on hot to summon Rescue Ferret, and
there are no restrictions to the monsters summoned,
other than the level cap. Those monsters are
neutered and destroyed during the End Phase.
Presumably, you are going to utilize the monsters
for an additional summon or just to attack. If
you're lucky enough to have a zone Linked by an
opponent's monster, this effect pays for itself.
Otherwise, Rescue Ferret is only helpful when you
have already started to develop a field. So it's not
perfect, but it is extremely helpful and worthy of
being secret rare at the start of this new format.

A while back, when we reviewed Emerging Emergency
Rescute Rescue, I mentioned how great Rescue Ferret
is. Fast forward to the beginning of Link Format,
and here we are, the official review of Rescue
Ferret.
Rescue Ferret allows you to shuffle himself into the
deck to Special Summon monsters from the Deck (not
named Rescue Ferret) to zones that are pointed to by
a Link Monster. The only negatives are that their
effects are negated and they are destroyed during
the End Phase. Overall, this is still a very
powerful effect to extend your plays in a Link Deck.
Currently, there are no meta Link Decks, but that is
guaranteed to change in the future, and Rescue
Ferret can be powerful.
This is a great card for the Link Era. It might not
have a use now, but it is just begging for abuse.
