Fusion Recycling Plant
While it can sometimes be disheartening to read
continuous or field spell cards today simply because
there’s a glut of spell/trap removal, there’s still
the advanced knowledge that some cards could be
really good if that ever changed. MST, Twin
Twisters, Cosmic Cyclone, Harpie’s Duster, and
Neverending Nightmare have created an environment
hostile to cards like Fusion Recycling Plant, but in
a bubble, this is a really awesome card.
The benefit of field spells is always the existence
of Terraforming, one of the most consistent cards in
the game’s history. It’s never been restricted or
banned, and it searches literally any card of its
kind, thereby doubling the deck presence of any
field spell you wish to run. So as long as that
continues to be the case, field spells will always
get some kind of unwritten rating bonus. The
downside to this card, of course, is that the search
effect requires a discard cost. Getting chained
would be horrendously brutal. But for fun play, I
like this card in so many decks. From Heroes to
Lunalights, and definitely for Fluffals, I feel
there must be ways to maximize this card during
times when your opponent simply cannot get rid of it
at a moment’s notice. I highlight Fluffals because
that particular archetype is rewarded with plusses
after fusion summoning in various ways, which
further allows you to quickly take advantage of not
only getting that next Poly at a moment’s notice,
but also to recover the best Fluffals at the end
phase.
So luckily, Fluffals highlight Fusion Recycling
Plant’s potential, but at the moment, most decks run
at least a formidable lineup of spell/trap removal,
including multiple copies of Twin Twisters or Cosmic
Cyclone. And I don’t see this changing in the
upcoming Zelda era since the game should slow down,
allowing for more trap cards and thus more reactions
to such a meta by adding more spell/trap removal.
But should that all change, this spell could be
really good.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Fusion Recycling Plant is another way to move Poly
from Point A to Point B.
1-for-1 to get a Poly from your deck or grave is an
even trade as long as it doesn't prevent you from
Fusion Summoning. If you Fusion Summon you can also
get one of the monsters back at the End Phase. The
second effect is great for decks that use the same
monster to Fusion Summon multiple Fusion Monsters.
While King of The Swamp is a more direct way of
searching out Poly in my opinion, and Fusion
Recovery does what this card does, this card is an
interesting card to use for Fusion-heavy decks. HERO
decks could abuse this card with Shadow Mist, either
as a cost to get Poly back, or as a Fusion Material,
bringing it back to the hand again and again.
I still prefer something that is quicker than a
Field Spell. KoTS and Fusion Recovery do just fine,
but this card also can get searched out with
Terraforming, maybe one wouldn't be bad to try in
combo with the previously mentioned cards.
