Foolish Burial Goods

Not much can be said about such a simple card. Foolish Burial Goods has a clear and concise effect that will have a use some day, no doubt. Like Foolish Burial, it will just take time until things come along that can truly make up for the initial minus. At the moment, my thoughts take me to the Paleozoic traps, Magician Navigation, SPYRAL Mission Assault, and practically any ritual spell card released after 2012. In fact, I’d bet a fair amount of money this would be used in full-power Nekroz. I don’t like this spell in any current TCG or OCG tier 1 deck, but I expect that to change over time. Solid card.

Hello Pojo Fans,

While sending a spell/trap to the graveyard may not sound as good as a monster, Foolish Burial Goods proves there are some decks that want to have a spell/trap in the grave.

Same mechanics as Foolish Burial, this time though, it's with spell/traps. This is most practical in decks that run multiples of a spell/trap that has an effect that activates in the graveyard or after being sent to the graveyard.

There is a laundry list of cards that decks run that can be useful with this card: The Prime Monarch, Magician Navigation, Destruction Sword s/t, Nekroz Spells, and of course, Paleozoic cards. The last one would benefit the most from this card, however there are better choices to getting Paleozoic cards into the grave than this card.

Two for Tuesday and Throwback Thursdays? I have missed a lot already. How...Foolish...of me.

Foolish Burial Goods is a Normal Spell Card that dumps any Spell or Trap card from the deck to the grave for free. You can only do it once per turn but since some of the effects of Spells and Traps prefer the grave, it's usually worth it. Combined with Foolish Burial sending monsters to the grave, the opening of both cards in the first hand could really set up great plays. The reason to own a full set of these should be obvious. Foolish Burial got limited, making other copies necessary for player's that couldn't find or afford it. Foolish Burial Goods is/will be abused by some archetype. When it gets limited, you'll want the extras for some good trading. At the very least, Deck Thinning helps with Winning.

Score: 4/5 Current and future potential for many decks.
Art: 3/5 Good art, terrible name.
