Hello Pojo Fans,
Destiny HERO – Celestial is one of the more useful
Destiny HERO support cards that has come out in some
time.
A great Level 4, with all the support traditional
D-HERO monsters have behind it, 1600ATK is pretty
good. The ability to destroy a face-up spell your
opponent has is a two-punch combo that you could use
each turn. Pendulum monsters and Continuous spells
are toast if this card gets in some direct attacks,
and if the opponent doesn't have an answer for
Celestial they won't be playing any of those cards
face-up.
Even in the grave Celestial remains useful. Banish
it and another D-HERO to draw 2 cards. Destiny Hero
Malicious with removing itself combined with the
benefit of Disk Commander's draw ability. You can
bring Celestial back with a card effect and banish
it again to get more cards the very next turn.
Destiny Heroes lost some support with the limiting
of RoTA and haven't had anything like Disk Commander
in monster form since it was banned. The “no cards
in your hand” restriction isn't even that big of a
restriction. Set everything and then activate the
effect, or summon your only monster and then benefit
from Celestial. If you are bogged down by monsters
you at the very least have a contingency option in
the grave.
This is a huge boost to D-HEROS and any deck that
would work them into their strategy. Lightsworn/D-Hero,
Zombie/D-Hero, LaDD potentially, anything and
everything that wants to main some Destiny Hero
monsters now have a new target they don't even need
to summon to have it be effective.

Destiny Hero - Celestial is a Level 4 Dark
Warrior-type monster with 1600 Atk and 1400 Def. The
stats are ok for Level 4, but there is and there
always will be a ton of support for Hero monsters.
The first effect targets one opponent's face-up
Spell card for destruction and then burns them for
500 LP. All Celestial needs to do is declare an
attack. This can happen more than once if Celestial
gains a multi attack effect. Even sacrificing this
card to attack a stronger monster might be worth it
to destroy a Spell Card and burn for 500 LP.
The second effect activates from the grave the turn
after Celestial was sent there. It banishes itself
and another Destiny Hero monster to draw 2 cards
once per turn. You do have to have no cards in your
hand to even activate the effect, but Elemental Hero
Bubbleman usually makes it so there are no cards in
the hand. Two good effects that can be used in Hero
or other decks simply by splashing 3 copies of
Destiny Hero - Celestial make this card really
good.

Destiny HERO – Celestial
I really feel like D-Heroes are the theme that could
one day make the most out of Pot of Acquisitiveness,
Friday’s card of the day. Along with Malicious,
Destiny HERO – Celestial seems to have that perfect
harmony where you really want to put it back in the
deck to reuse it.
I love this card, and it singlehandedly makes me
wish D-Heroes could be could again. There’s just so
many uses, especially in an era where pendulum decks
are still very good. With an above-modest attack
power, the ability to pop any spel/trap, some bonus
effect damage, the ability to cycle two spent cards
into two new cards, and the great main attraction of
being a target for Mask Change, there’s so much to
love. Even if you were to never use his first
effect, the fact that he can go into Dark Law and
then banish both himself and another D-HERO later
for two cards can’t be underestimated. He’s made in
the vein of Disc Commander, the most broken card
ever made.
So the question to really ask is, “Will D-Heroes
ever come back?” And that’s a hard one to answer.
It’s a fan favorite, to be sure, and it’s received a
ton of support over the years, but it’s not the
theme of one of the main protagonists of any of the
anime spin-offs. The reason we’re getting new D-HERO
cards is because Edo Phoenix was brought back in
Arc-V, which is ending. And even if they do revive
D-Heroes, will they get enough support to be
relevant? That may not be as important a question,
because any more support would be good enough, most
likely. And I say that because Celestial is that
busted. Being a dark warrior (and thus easily
dumpable) and drawing 2 cards without any cost to
your current resources is just outrageous. This is
one awesome hero.
