Zoodiac Barrage

- #RATE-EN059

You can target 1 face-up card you control; destroy it, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Zoodiac" monster from your Deck. You can only use this effect of "Zoodiac Barrage" once per turn. If this card is destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 "Zoodiac" Xyz Monster you control; attach this card from your Graveyard to that Xyz Monster as Xyz Material.

Hello Pojo Fans,

Zoodiac Barrage is as big of a card in the Zoodiac build as Ratpier.

Destroy a card you control, special a Zoodiac from the deck.  Pop itself and bring out Ratpier to start your combo, or any Zoodiac for that matter, with Barrage you have an instant Zoodiac Xyz Summon coming up. If you fire this card off, or it's destroyed while you have a Zoodiac Xyz on the field already, this card will attach, giving you another material for it to use. When attached, you can use this to detach to activate your Zoodiac Xyz effect and not drop its ATK/DEF.

This one card, along with Ratpier, are the keystones to the Zoodiac deck, and MUST be played in a set.

TOOO STROONNG, CAN"T CONTAIN...Zodiac Barrage is a Continuous Spell Card that simply disregards the concept of balance. First, when activated you can target to destroy any card you control as effect to then Special Summon any Zoodiac monster from the deck. Sure you can only use this effect once per turn, but Ratpier and Whiptail love to be on the field, and then they love to be XYZ Material. Since the card targeted is destroyed by effect, it can activate any and all of its own grave effects. Second, if Barrage is destroyed by an effect and sent to the grave, it can attach itself from the grave to a targeted Zoodiac XYZ Monster as Material. I'm not mad, it's just so good it hurts how other cards call themselves support while this exists. So, try to own three because that's where this meta is.

Zoodiac Barrage

This is one of the KEY cards for Zoodiac's, and is an absolute 3 of Staple in anything Zoodiac due to the fact that it has an otherwise zero real cost or downside.

The first effect of this card is for the most part the only effect that is of real significant importance since this is the card that gets it all going... Barrage is able to destroy any "Dead" or unneeded card on the field, but this card can also target itself for the effect, ensuring that you will always have the sufficient payment required to use this card effectively.
Zoodiac turns often start with a Barrage play, and this is certainly one of the cards that you as an opponent hope to either not see, or at least have an out that can be activated either before your opponent can use this cards effect, or that you have something lined up that can negate the effect of this card.

And in addition to the first crucial and very powerful effect, when Barrage is destroyed you can attach it to one of your Zoodiac Xyz's as an Xyz material, allowing you to use effects of those Xyz's that you may otherwise not be able to, or simply stacking on extra Xyz materials for later use... I'm thinking Drident here.

Rating: 4.75 The ONLY weakness that this has is that it is a Continuous card, and that makes it vulnerable to MST, TwTw and Typhoon before it can be activated, otherwise this card is extremely good... The only card that I can think of comparing this card to in strength of effect is A Hero Lives, and that is most certainly a very good, albeit extremely costly card.
