Hello Pojo Fans,
Elder Entity Norden is our throwback today, and a
good target for the eventual banlist.
Anyone can run it, and can summon it, but the method
of using Instant Fusion is the most direct. Pay for
Instant Fusion, get Norden out, get a free Special
Summon of a Level 4 or lower from the grave. Sure,
its on-filed effects are negated, but that isn't the
point of Norden. Xyz Summon using this card and the
monster you bring back, or start up turn combos with
the monster you bring back. Shaddolls get both their
targets for Shaddoll Fusion, while Zoodiacs can
launch another turn of combo plays. ABC's get one of
their Union monsters back and can start
attaching/fusing, Norden fits in any Extra Deck. It
takes too many resources to bring him out naturally,
so stick with Instant Fusion.

Elder Entity Norden
Since its release, Norden has been dominating the
game via its ability to ensure that a player is able
to complete a 1 card turn around for their turn...
And while Elder Entity Norden is almost always tied
to Instant Fusion, once it has been properly
Summoned (again almost always with Instant Fusion to
begin with) a card such as Call of the Haunted can
be used to revive Norden, and then its effect can be
used to reload the field with an Extra Deck option.
One of the most powerful options currently available
for players is to use Instant Fusion to Summon Elder
Entity Norden, revive a Level 4 Water attribute
monster from the Graveyard, Xyz into Bahamut Shark
and then use its effect to Summon Toadally
Awesome... Or maybe you use Norden to recover a
Level 4 and go into PSY-Framelord Omega... Or
Daigusto Emeral... Or a Zoodiac and then build into
a 1 card Zoodiac Xyz with that card...
Essentially, the usefulness of Elder Entity Norden
is only restricted by the Deck that you are
currently playing, and the potential options that
you can build into with its Summon.
I'm certain that there are some players out there
that may think that since Elder Entity Norden does
negate the effect(s) of the Summoned monster AND may
potentially Banish the monster Summoned with its
effect that Norden may be somewhat of a potential
liability... Put it this way, Elder Entity Norden
when Summoned with Instant Fusion is essentially a 1
card and 1000 LP investment for the chance to get
yourself back into the game... Or push your turn
further... If for some reason it doesn't quite work
out, as plays don't from time to time, this is
through no fault of Norden's.
It should be mentioned that Elder Entity Norden CAN
be Summoned with Polymerisation (or proxy)... Lame!
But more importantly, Elder Entity Norden is a card
that truly highlights how broken Super
Polymerisation is, and while Norden stays Limited,
Super Poly will remain Banned eternally.
Rating: 5. Sometimes the fact that Norden provides a
hilarious boost to Abyss Dweller just goes to show
that Norden is "Boss" when it comes to a card that
can almost truly do it all.

Really? Elder Entity Norden.
Again. Despite the name, the card is considerably
younger than other "staples". I'm looking at you
Raigeki. That being said, if you run Instant Fusion
in the main deck, you run this in the Extra Deck.
That will be the case until one of the cards is
actually banned. Which is doubtful because the card
in and of itself is not broken. It's not even all
that powerful. It does grant access to legitimately
summoning some of the most broken Extra Deck
monsters. Is that a problem? No. If you can stop
Instant Fusion than you're doing just fine anyway.
Norden is a great card and has been since inception.
As such it will score well until banned or nerfed.
Score: 4.5/5
Art: /5 I don't remember what
it looks like because it's always used for something
else.
