Pathetic Trap… Simply terrible. Two Pronged Attack is not worth the effort. Killing two of you monsters for one of theirs is NOT a good trade-off. Yea, I suppose you could use Ultimate Offering to make it so you “give up” your summon for one turn to kill their monster, but then they still get to use the Offering! It… It just is not worth playing at all considering you have Raigeki, Dark Hole, Fissure, and Trap Hole for magics and Man-Eater Bug, Hane-Hane, and Wall of Illusion for effect monsters for auto monster destroys.

Rating: 1/5 – Fine, I suppose I might run it in my deck over an Inexperienced Spy. =////

I don't usually review COTD's, as I'm too busy posting them around the site. But I only gave the Yugioh COTD guys one day's notice to review this card. So ... Today, I'll jump in.

I don't like having to kill off two of my monsters for only one of my opponents. That is not card advantage. You are basically trading off 3 cards for only one of your opponents (the trap card & two monsters, for one of your opponents monsters).

Of course, if it's a Blue Eyes, White Dragon you are staring at ... then your opponent needed a total of 3 cards to create it, and if you are killing off two of your own cheesy monsters, it's an even deal. 3 for 3.

Also, there aren't that many "removal" spells in this first set, and you may need something to kill off the powerful dudes like Blue Eyes, Dark Magician, etc. Not a bad card when you are first starting off as trap cards are all rares, but I don't think you'll need it as you build your collection.

Are you kidding me? This is the Base Gastly of the Yu-Gi-Oh! game. Anyone who plays this card should return all their cards. Right now.

Combos:

Two-Pronged Attack + Change of Heart = Well, I suppose this could work, but it's not worth the use of your only Change of Heart.

Two-Pronged Attack + Monster Reborn = Look above.

Counters:

Common sense: If you don't have any of this, feel free to play this card.

Casual Play:

With (normally) no restrictions, there is NO reason you should play this card over a second/third Raigeki or Dark Hole.

Tournament Play:

Even though Raigeki and Dark Hole are restricted, we still have Man-Eater Bug, Hane-Hane, Wall of Illusion, Fissure, and Trap Hole. Simply put, this card is NOT worth playing.

Verdict:

Stay away. Stay FAR away.
