Kevin Moon Dragon Zombie-

Remorsefully, this is the strongest zombie card we currently have available, and it shouldn't be scorned. With an atk of 1600 it can instantly prove a formidable opponent for ryu-skishin powereds and man-eating treasure chests, which are commonly used in decks that utilize attachment magic. Dragon Zombie can benefit from the Swords of Dark Destruction itself, lifting its ATK to a fiercesome 2000, which is enough to send any La Jinn shaking in its lamp.

Also, despite the obvious, considering the few Dinosaur, Zombie, and Rock monsters used in play, Wasteland will increase your Dragon Zombie's atk 200 and not increase your opponent's monsters unlike the Yami. The Giant Soldier of Stone is the only other monster in the current metagame that will benefit from the Wasteland, which does not present itself as a major issue. In short, Dragon Zombie is actually worth including into a deck when played with Wasteland and or Sword of Dark Destruction.

Trunks the Swordsman Dragon Zombie -

A monster that has a defense of 0 and an attack power of 1600. I love this card personally. If i see my opponent stop defense happy nothing better than pulling a bluff on him by placing this card face down in defense mode. While he thinks its either hane-hane or man eater bug. So he uses stop defense on dragon zombie making my opponent waste his stop defense and making my dragon zombie stay in attack mode. Hes not to bad as an attacker though. If you cant have 3 of neo the magic swordsman, 3 La ginn, and 3 battle ox in your deck you may wanna toss dragon zombie in to fill in the gaps.

Aha!  We finally get a semi-decent card!  1600 attack for a 3 star monster is pretty good, and it's only 200 points behind La Jinn.  The defense is pretty worrisome, but hey, we can't have everything we want, right?

Being of the Dark type, it can benefit from Sword of Dark Destruction, a staple card in all the Fiend/Spellcaster decks around.

The Zombie grouping doesn't help him now, but with the Castle of Dark Illusions to come in Metal Raiders, he can benefit from the attack increase.

Combos:

Dragon Zombie + Sword of Dark Destruction = 2000 attack power

Counters:

La Jinn/Battle Ox/Neo the Magic Swordsman: Take a wild guess.

Casual Play:

Well, this guy isn't THAT bad if you're low on money.  Plus, he comes in the Yugi starter deck, which means you can also get other nifty cards like Summoned Skull, Wall of Illusion, and some REALLY good Magic/Trap cards, like Dark Hole, Monster Reborn, and Change of Heart.  This guy fits in fairly well in a Fiend/Spellcaster deck, although you're probably better off with Rogue Doll, Ryu-Kishin Powered, or Man-Eating Treasure Chest.

Tournament Play:

You may see this guy in some Castle of Dark Illusions decks once Metal Raiders is released in June.  Otherwise, people may steer away from this card.

Verdict:

Hey, this guy is more playable than the last two cards we've looked at this week.  Not only that, but he comes packaged along with some really nifty cards in the Yugi starter deck.  If you can't get your hands on a Kaiba starter deck, this will probably be one of your strongest attackers.

Pros:
1600 Attack
Cons:
NO defense

Dragon Zombie's a simple card, nothing special to it.  1600 attack isn't bad for a level 4 monster.  I play Ryu-Kishin Powered, and that also has 1600 attack.  Thing is, it's not as strong as Neo or La Jinn or Battle Ox.
This thing has no defense.  If your opponent's beating you around, putting this face down won't do much.  For equal attack, go with Ryu-Kishin Powered, it has a 1200 defense.  This thing doesn't stand up to its counterparts, so I wouldn't play it.  It's not really that great =/
