Well, this card is,
umm, different...
For a measy cost of
500 Life Points, you can have an extra summon,
set, or Tribute Summon, and you can have as many
extra per turn as you wish (at 500 LP each).
This can allow you to build up an army of monsters
quickly. The bad part is, your opponent can
also take advantage of this.
Since it's a Permanent
Trap card, it will remain in play until it is
destroyed. If you are looking a one-turn
effect, you may be out of luck, unless...
Combos:
Ultimate Offering +
Remove Trap = Activate your trap, summon your
monsters, then use Remove Trap to destroy it.
Now your opponent can't take advantage!
Ultimate Offering +
Mysterious Puppeteer = This is pretty
self-explanatory. Ultimate Offering's cost
and Mysterious Puppeteer's effects cancel each
other out, thus giving you free extra summons.
Nifty, eh?
Counters:
Raigeki/Dark Hole: All
those Life Points and monsters, wasted in one fell
swoop...
Remove Trap: Yes, this
card can also be used against you. Beware.
Trap Master/Reaper of
the Cards: You can never be sure your opponent
won't pull one of these on you.
Casual Play:
It's dangerous to
attempt this in unrestricted play, as your
opponent can have access to 3 Raigekis and 3 Dark
Holes. You'll cry when your army of monsters
and 1000+ LP go down the drain.
Tournament Play:
This card now shows
promise in tournaments, as Raigeki and Dark Hole
are restricted to 1 per deck*. Combo it with
Remove Trap and Mysterious Puppeteer and your
opponent won't know what hit them! Be wary
of Metal Raiders, however, as that brings the
insanely broken Holy Barrier - Mirror Force card,
which can also decimate your army.
Verdict:
When used in the
correct situations, this card can win you the
game. If you are going to play this card,
you should probably also run Remove Trap and
Mysterious Puppeteer for the reasons mentioned
above. However, I strongly recommend against
playing this card "just because you have
it." True, it can win you the game, but
at the same time, it can also screw you over.
*And is it me, or is
the American restriction list screwed up? 2
each of Exodia, Dark Hole, Raigeki, Change of
Heart, and Monster Reborn? 3 Swords?
This had better not be the
definite list. If so, we may also see 2 Holy
Barrier - Mirror Force per deck, which is going
TOO far.
