Hey cotd fans, todays cotd is....
Magic Jammer:
Tourney Play: 4.3
Casual Play: 4.3
Overall Play: 4.3
Pros:
+ Can negate any magic for a small price.
+ its a trap card
Cons:
-It can be negated itself
-Heavy storm beats it
RFP: Well, this card is one of those cards, where three per deck is a must!
If you don't have three, you need three. I mean most of the restricted cards
are magic cards. So therefore that makes this card good. Also its a trap
card, so it can be played on your oppenent's turn, allthough thats when they
play magic cards anyways, so it isnt really a big deal.
RFC: Well, this card can be negated. All, you have to use is seven tools of
the bandit. Also any type of m/t removal is really good against it, like
heavy storm. If heavy storm, and seven tools of the bandit weren't out then
this card would be free, to obliterate m/ts.. Allthough you can use magic
jammer on heavy storm, but then if you dont have another magic jammer your
oppenent could squeak by a raigeki or change of heart.
Combos: Magic jammer + Mask of darkness: Keep negating magic cards until you
win the duel...
This is one of those cards that you need in your deck, and you need 3 of
them... If you dont have them, I suggest you get them, thats all for now,
cya later, good luck, and happy dueling....

Tuesday - Magic
Jammer
Magic Jammer reads: Discard
1 card from your hand to the Graveyard to negate the
activation of a Magic Card and destroy it.
Out of all the counters
released in Metal Raiders this has to be the best one.
The main reason for this is the fact that most
the top restricted cards are Magic Cards.
Magic Jammer does
have a drawback, but a card with this much power
deserves one. Between all the counters, in my opinion, Magic
Jammer has the least to worry about drawback.
Sure discarding a card can be tough at times, but it
is much better than using Seven Tools of the Bandit
when your low on life or playing Solemn Judgment in
the beginning of the game.
Another great aspect to
Magic Jammer is that it's not restricted at
all. So you can expect most tournament decks to be
packing three main deck.
When playing Magic
Jammer remember to counter only Magic Cards that are
giving you the most trouble. What I mean by this is,
don't just counter a Fissure or Tremendous Fire unless
it's really neccissary. Like if your hand is
creature-less or your extremely low on life.
The great part about
counters is that they add a whole new dimension to
current American Yu-Gi-Oh!
Rating:4.5/5

Tue- Magic Jammer
Ahhhh, Magic Jammer.
Such a nice little card. Can so easily shut down an
opponent’s game or comeback. A look closer, non?
It’s a trap first of
all, so you can’t play it directly from your hand.
“Well, why/ how could you?!!” Well, once
Quick-Play Magics enter the scene… Anyway, unless
you have a MJ on the field already or are waiting to
Heavy Storm, you’d naturally set this as soon as
you get it.
This card is one of the
reasons De-Spell died. Not because its better, but
because you now have a reason to
hold cards in your hand. Always have a card or two
in your hand, because if you don’t have a hand,
this card is useless and a good opponent will be
watching for a time when you are handless to release
his Magics.
Just a little note, you
cannot Magic Jammer an equipment card that is
already on the field. Note the wording:
“Activation.” This also goes for SoRL on your
turn.
Rating: 4.7/5 Yes, it
has a drawback, so it isn’t perfect. High near
perfect tho. Always run at least 2. : O

Today we're going to
look at one of the infamous negation traps, Magic
Jammer.
Card Text:
Counter Trap
Discard 1 card from your
hand to the Graveyard to negate the activation of a
Magic Card and destroy it.
Analysis:
This card has deck
staple written all over it. Repeat
the following phrase after me: I will play this
card in every deck I own.
Got it? Good.
This card is just too
powerful to not use. For the simple cost of
one card, I can stop an opponent's Raigeki, Pot of
Greed, Monster Reborn, or Change of Heart in its
tracks. I think two cards is a good cost to
prevent an opponent from playing one of the above.
There is not much more explanation left...
...except for the fact
that this card is useless when you
have an empty hand, which hopefully won't happen
often unless your opponent is playing Robbin' Goblin
or it is late in the game. If you can keep up
a consistent card advantage over your opponent,
though, this card is deadly. Just don't waste
it on a weaker Magic card (like an equipment card) unless
you will lose by not negating it.
Combos:
There's not really many
combos you can use with this card. It's pretty
individualized.
Counters:
Seven Tools of the
Bandit: One negation card negates another.
Enjoy.
Should YOU play
it?
If you have it, play it.
If you don't have it, get it, then play it.
It's an Ultra Rare, so it may not be easy to get one
or two of these, but try as hard as you can.
This card is too good to overlook.
Score:
Magic Jammer gets a 4.6
in my book. It is very powerful, but you have
to discard one card from your hand to use it.
If you have an empty hand, this could be a problem.
