Chain Destruction
Normal Trap
You can activate this card when a monster with an ATK of 2000 points or less is summoned (including Special Summon). This monster is not destroyed, but all Monster Cards of the same name in the summoning player's hand and Deck are destroyed. The summoning player's Deck is then shuffled.

This card is kinda like a weird Trap Hole. Say your opponent summons a La Djinn. You then activate Chain Destruction. La Djinn doesn't die, however, if your opponent plays 3 copies of it in his deck, the other 2 in his deck would be put in his graveyard. It works really well against Magician of Faiths and Man Eater Bugs as well. The slight problem is, you will be thinning your opponent's deck in the process. It also works in a deck destruction as well.

Yonex Chain Destruction -- Friday

Introduction: Destroy the rest of your monsters!

Normal Trap
You can activate this card when a monster with an ATK of 2000 points or less
is summoned (including Special Summon). This monster is not destroyed, but
all Monster Cards of the same name in the summoning player's hand and Deck
are destroyed. The summoning player's Deck is then shuffled.

Why should you use it?
*Lots of damage

Why shouldn't you use it?
*Doesn't destroy monster
*2000 < 0

Reasons: A card that may seem to be over rated, but isn't that bad. It can
cause a nice chain of monster. This means that it can deadly with those
people who stack their deck with 3 monsters. This could include Magicain of
Faith, Man-Eater Bug, Dark Elf, etc. The really bad thing about this card is
it doesn't destroy the summoning monster, which can cost you the game. This
monster only destroy those 2000 and below, which does not destroy those Jira
Gumo and Goblin Attack Force. The only effective way to use this card is use
it early in the game. In the late game, it will not come in to use at all.
This card won't probably replace Trap Hole at all.

Rating: Not a good card as it may seem. One reason why it probably won't be
restricted. This card gets a 3.4. It cans till cause a lot of damage, but
has to be used during the right time.

Conclusion: Can't chain with the speed of today's environment.

IQ
Chain Destruction

This card seems pretty ok at first sight but is not until you sit down and really begin to think about it that you realize how bad this card can be. Once Servant is legal the number of Flip effect Monster will greatly be reduced and no one should be playing 3 La Jinns and 3 Seven Colored Fish because of cards like this one. I will personally try out the 2 fish, 2 Jinn and 2 harpy's Brother or any other Monster with a natural 1800 ATK to deal with card like this one.

The next thing to consider is the fact that this card is only good in the early game. Once you reach late game you need something that can help you establish or gain board control. The most this card can do at this point is to try to hit 1 of your opponent's Monsters in his deck. In a way you'll be helping him because you'll tin ou his deck so he can draw the power Magic cards faster.

SomeGuy Friday - Chain Destruction

Normal Trap
You can activate this card when a monster with an ATK of 2000 points or less is summoned (including Special Summon). This monster is not destroyed, but all Monster Cards of the same name in the summoning player's hand and Deck are destroyed. The summoning player's Deck is then shuffled.

In my opinion, Chain Destruction works best as a side deck card. Side it in if your opponent attempts to counter your deck with some specific Monsters. Besides using it in your side deck, I'm not all convinced it is worth playing.

Pretty much the only deck I can see this working in is Deck Depletion. Even then, I wouldn't consider it as a top-notch card for the deck. Taking 2 or less Monsters from your opponent's deck isn't that big of a deal.

Chain Destruction isn't going to do you any good if your opponent is bashing you in the head with an army of Monsters. Sure it will destroy a couple Monsters, but none that are important at that point in time.

Rating: 2.3/5
