Burning Land
Continuous Magic Card
TEXT: Destroys all Field Magic Cards on the field. In
addition, both players take 500 points of Direct
Damage during each of their respective Standby Phases.
This card only goes is certain decks, mainly burner or
life gain decks. In a burner, you have stuff like
Gravity Binds and Messenger of Peace to stop your
opponent's onslaught of Monsters while you burn their
life away with Direct Damage spells and attacking with
stuff like Jinzo #7 with an Axe of Despair. Life Gain
decks also run the same defensive stuff but also have
stuff like Enchanted Javelins and Solemn Wishes.
Either way, Burning Land would work in either deck. If
the decks go according to plan, your opponent would
definitely die before you do because of this card. Add
some Goblin Minor Officials to double the pain for
your opponent.
In the right deck, this card is amazing.

Burning Land -- Tuesday
Introduction: Burn baby, burn baby burn!
Continuous Magic
Destroys all Field Magic Cards on the field. In
addition, both players take
500 points of Direct Damage during each of their
respective Standby Phases.
Why should you use it?
*Inflict 500 damage a turn.
*Destroys Field Magic
Why shouldn't you use it?
*You lose 500 damage also.
Reasons: First off this is going to be a bizzare
schedule, but it'll work.
We look at one of Yugi's card he used again Weevil,
the burning land card.
This card can inflict 500 damage a turn. It all adds
up. If you play this
opening hand, within your opponent turn 20, they
"should" be dead. But I
doubt that you would just sit there waiting. You
probably would want to
combine with other cards like Chain Energy. This could
destroy those Field
Magic, though this really isn't important since most
people don't use Field
Magics. Now the main side effect of this card is you
also lose 500 damage.
Maybe you can use it combo with Solomn's Lawbook, but
really isn't worth it.
This card should really only be used in burn.
Rating: Not bad or good at all. It's a decent card. It
gets a 2.5.
Conclusion: Is it hot enough to go into your deck?

Tuesday - Burning
Land Today we look at
burning land. This card destroys any
field magic cards in play and
each player takes 500
damage during their standby
phases.
This is a card that can
certainly be lethal if played correctly. You can just
simply play this card when you get it. You have to
time it correctly so that you maximize the usefulness
of the effect. AS a start, you can wait until you get
a healthy lead before playing it so you wont be in too
much of an immediate danger. Or you can combo it with
solemn wishes so that you dont take any damage while
the opponent takes 500. Or you can combine it with
minor goblin official when the opponent has less than
3000LP so that they lose 1000LP a turn. If you running
a burn deck, you should consider this for your deck.
I give this card a 3.3/5. Timing
is everything to use this card correctly. Use it right
and watch the opponent's face as his LP slowly drains
away...

Burning Land
This
is one of the cards that are going to have a great
impact once Servant is tournament legal. This card
gives burn decks the speed they need to become turney
viable and with a few other cards Servant has to offer
burn decks will be seen in the tournament environment.
The best thing about the card is that it doesn't only
help you deal direct damage to your opponent but it
also keeps them from playing any Field Cards, granted
that's not the real reason you're gona be using this
card but it's a nice sided effect.
I
think this card is going to throw a new deck archtype
in the mix but I guess we'll have to wait and see. ^_< |
