Invader of the Throne is
good and it is bad. It all, like always, depends on
the deck. However, the effect is very, very
interesting. It has a large downside, however, since
this card always seems to be attacked.
However, if you combine it
with Messenger of Peace and Cannon Soldier (and
others), it makes a great deck. It'll very rarely be
attacked, then. It's a good card if you can get the
effect to work, but never play it in a normal beatdown
deck. It's good for a burner.
It's just like a
monster version of Snatch Steal, but your opponent
does not regain life points. Just be careful about
when you play this card on the field. The rating is
3.9. It's not bad in the right deck.
Not very bad at all. |

Invader of the Throne --
Wednesday
Introduction: Woah I just took your Magicain of Faith
bwhhahaahh! Evil isn't
it? Hahhahahah
Earth
[Warrior/Effect]
Lv 4
1350/1700
Flip: Select 1 opponent's monster and switch control
of it with this card.
This effect cannot be activated during the Battle
Phase.
Why should you use it?
*Take control of opponent's monster
*Counter monsters?
Why shouldn't you use it?
*Lose a monster
*Poor stats
*Cannot be used during Battle Phase.
Reasons: We look at a very interesting card today.
This is Invader of the
Throne that is like a permanent Change of Heart, but
you have to give them
this monster in return, which isn't that bad. This
means that if your
opponent has a Magicain of Faith down, you can counter
it off by taking
their and then use another one of your monster to kill
the Invader when it
belongs to them. This also can be a nice counter to
those people who run big
monsters, when you can basically take control of their
big monsters. The
poor thing is that you lose a monster, but you gain
something in return.
It's poor stats make it stay on the field for a very
limited time, though
this could be a good ting, since you might give it to
your opponent anyways.
Also the thing that make this get a lower rating is
that, it cannot be used
during Battle Phase, which means that it will be
harder to do the effect.
Rating: This card has potential, but the last line
kills this card. This
card gets a 3.0. It has a lot of potential, but also
has a really bad effect
that makes it a bit hard to get this combo off.
Conclusion: This card might try to invade your deck,
but don't let it, all
it wants is to sit in the dark with the thrown next to
her side.

This card has a pretty
decent effect but I don't think she'll be used once
the new set settles in. There's way too much Flip
Effects hate and there are a lot of better cards to
play instead of this one. The only really good thing
about this card is the picture on it because in a
heavy beatdown environment her 1700 defense is not
going to help her that much.
I personally believe the new set is going to change
the way the game is played but we'll have to wait
until Upper Deck decides to post the new changes to
the Forbidden and limited cards. I e-mailed them
already asking when the new changes were going to be
posted and the official response I got was.... "Soon".
If you guys wanna try your luck and ask or if you have
any other questions you would like an official ruling
on feel free to e-mail
entertainment@upperdeck.com and please
include in your e-mail that IQ told you to ask them
every single question you might have. >;~)
